Martigan encourages his ranged group to fire on targets of opportunity scaling the walls, and on the enemy melee units n front of the gates.

"keep them back! Give our men time! Shoot those bastards! Not OUR bastards, THEIR bastards! Shoot them!"

Camille yells at the men under her command to keep firing at the enemy ranged units.

"Come on, put your backs into it! You're fighting for your homes, your loved ones, and your lives here!"

Probably the spearhead formation.

Imagine explaining that to a bunch of guys that have never fought in formation before.

Or to someone who hasn't fought, period.

Fuck running a game using maths.

-Turn 2-

Reminders
Martigan is attached to Range Unit A. Martigan's Unit (Proper name is too long)
Bobert is attached to Light Melee D.
Robert is attached to Heavy Melee B.
Harold is attached Heavy Melee A.
Camille is attached to Range Unit B. Camille's Rangers

Remaining Units

Other Actions

The military count is as follows:
Friendly
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Enemy
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

RULES
Action time!
Same as last time, everything goes except surrender (that would be cheating)
For the record "abandon the walls" is a valid strategy. You only "lose" if the town center is burned down or captured (the man paying you is dead if that happens, so...)

-MOAR FLUFF-
Pretty pretty picture
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Friendly unit placements:
On the Walls: Light Ranged groups A,B
Near the gate: Light Melee C,D,E. Heavy Melee A,B,C.
Arriving at gate: Light Ranged groups C and D. Heavy Melee D. Light Melee F and G.

Enemy Placements:
4 Heavy Melee in the gate area. 2 Heavy Melee running from gate area.
8 Light Melee on the walls.
6 Light Range outside the walls.

Friendly Morale: Dropping. (Facing professionals, Taking losses)
Enemy Morale: Even. (Facing Ragtag bunch, Routed friends)

Other:
A friendly army is marching to the town. It will arrive in 1 turns. (Reminder: friendly units arriving is not the same as a victory condition)
It is now Noon.

Arbitrary headcount is maxed.
What should you do?

God this goes so much faster when I stop caring about numbers.

Changes: Instead of an idiotically specific numbers thing, we now use relative unit stength (Where Strong is the full or almost full squad, Moderate is roughly half a squad killed, and so on) and morale checks are more important.

Include a new stance with your next action orders
Weapon types are now done (I'm using not-placeholders for equipment now) so. Answer the following question: When faced with an attacker do you fight it or evade?

EDIT
Forgot a few things:
Turn resolves on Tuesday or if everyone submits their action early.

quesion: Is "Abandon the wall" actually possible for Camille and Martigan at this point (what with the "stuck between a rock and a hard place" bit)? If so ...

Martigan: Abandon the walls. Gather what men he can and rally toward the center of town. Evade attacks as possible. Join with Camille if possible, and if she also abandons the walls.

Bobby finds/builds something to toss shrapnel at the enemy. Attempt finding more tools in the progress. If number one does not work, it can probably be used for something else...

@Ozarck
Yes it is (the ground floor is TECHNICALLY still being held by allied forces, so they can get out if they run really fast)

Bobert has been confused. Bobert now knows that he is in medieval warfare conditions... whoops. That explains the magic book a bit better.

>Take another light infantry and hold a defensive on the alley way to the left. We'll attack anyone who heads down this direction. We don't need the enemy using the alley to circumvent us.
>Bobert attempts to cast a barrier spell on the opposite alley way to block the enemies from that direction.

Camille joins up with Martigan and rallies as many people as possible before abandoning the walls and rallying in the center of town.

Harold, seeing the futility of trying to hold the gate, rallies the Heavy and Light melee troops around him to fall back into the marketplace!

Grab as many of the men around me as possible, and sound a fighting withdrawal into the marketplace.

Stance: Defensive!
