You swim towards the deep sea, where you sense a humongous presence. Deep beneath you, you feel the kraken moving anxiously. He knows that you sense him, and is ready to attack you.

"Don't tempt me drakeling, you're messing with Qurriblicon. I shall devour you and use your skull to sharpen my tongue."

How big is this thing? If it's bigger than us, we require strategy.

Tell him that he will immediately vacate these waters. This, this is our territory. If he refuses, we shall use our full force to defeat him. Especially if it involves the manatees.

Agreed. We must rebuke it, intimidate it if we can. "You dared to prey upon our dolphins, and to make threats against us. You must be punished."

Slightly bigger? Well, that's tenable. "Vast" would have been a problem, but I think we can take this fool. See how it bluffs at our approach.

If we fight it, we must either try to drag it closer to the surface, or lure it near lava. It has the advantage over us in wrestling, but we might have the brute force to drag it. If not, priority should be biting its limbs off. Our scales must be very hard, so that should afford us some protection from the tongue, but we do not know how hard this rasping tongue is.

It likely has big, squishy, vulnerable eyes, though blinding it likely won't hinder it's abilities too much. Might cause some damage, though. As a creature of the deap, it likely isn't too fond of heat, so giving it a good blast before getting in biting range would be a good idea. If it shrugs off the heat, retreat. If all goes sour, take to the skies.

We must not forget that the manatees were the first to drive this creature off though.

If the manatees could frighten it away, what can a true opponent do?

You close in on the giant kraken, and fire a hot stream straight at him. He replies with a shriek, and quickly he reshifts his body and propells towards you. The water is blackened by the ink he shoots into the ocean. Your echolocation keeps you on trek, so you manage to dodge a few of his tentacles. Yet he has you in his maim and starts wrestling. You begin shooting frantically from your mouth, the water temperature rises to extremes.

Some of the arms untie from you, wringing in pain. You are still connected to the beast, but its tongue manages to rasp off huge bits of your leg meat.

"You are meaningless, mollusc. There will be no place for you in our new world."

Bite off the tongue. Shoot steam in its mouth. Cook all the way through.

As the tongue closes in on you, you beam a strong burst of hot water into the calamari. The beast twitches, but you twist your body around and hold it firmly in your claws, still frying the beast. For the following half an hour you wrestle with the beast, and use all of your energy to fry the beast. At last, the squidling has died.

Hissing words of disgust at the dead body, you begin eating the cavity. For the following hours you remain eating. As you finish the last bite of the squid you feel a big rumble in your stomach. You swim towards the island.

As you reach the village of manateepeople, you are welcomed by the horde. They yap in joy and begin waving at you. You feel serious pain in your entire body and are very tired. You swim towards the center of the village. Your spokesman presents himself to you by taking a deep kneel from the little hutplatform, where he is standing.

You cross eyes with him and connect to him directly. You tell the awesome epic of the dragon who slayed the kraken.

You decide you want to rest, but where? Also, any last words to the village?
