A) Spice coffee. It's mentioned rather frequently in terms of comestibles, but the logic of it baffles me. On a desert planet, its natives are inclined to make.. A hot water beverage? Why would they consume spice in this manner?
I don't see why it baffles you so. Is it because you think people in a hot climate would not drink hot beverages?
If so, then do keep in mind two things. One, it's freezing cold after the sunset. Similarly, the cavernous
sietches can be expected to be cool places - cool enough to allow living without stillsuits.
The second thing to remember, is that the Fremen culture was modelled on various Arab and Persian nomadic tribes, most notably the Bedouin. These are the people who "invented" coffee drinking. Google for history of coffee, or coffee in the Arab world.
Yeah. To add to that, if you've ever actually had a hot drink during hot weather (I'm partial to hot chocolate when it's >100F, m'self), you'd know it tends to make the ambient temperature feel less oppressive. Is old, old trick. Drink hot when hot, drink cold when cold. It'll feel cooler or warmer, respectively.

Take strips of bacon.
Put them in the toaster.
Bacon toast is served.

1: You can totally do this in those awesome mini-oven-style toasters that have the toast lie horizontal.
2: You can make a BLT salad cup by weaving raw bacon around the cups of an upside-down muffin tin and baking to cook, then pulling them off and filling the resulting bacon-basket with lettuce and tomato.

I want to start a website where owners of 3D printers can register and customer can commission jobs for them. Does anything like that exist already?

Whatever you do, it needs to work better than Craigslist. Otherwise the printer could just stick his ad on CL and people could buy from him. You'd have to handle the transaction, which allows you to control the funds and charge a fee, and that's also nice for the customer and the printer. Kind of like Lulu and other Print On Demand places. A printer would upload pictures of objects he can print. Customers could go to a printer and request new objects, which the printer would have to find files for or else create the file himself. I'm sure there would be a business angle of people sending physical objects to the printer to be scanned, then the printer sends back the original and any copies. It's really a lot like a standard printing business.

I was thinking more along the line of "send a file, get a object", although I'm sure you could also have people selling items directly, or even just selling the file for other to send to a printer.

Well think about how it works when you request a print of an artist's work. The artist has the image on a site, you contact him and say you want a print, the artist does fulfillment through a printer and ships it to you with a shipping company. He might never see the print in person. If you wanted to commission a piece, you pay the artist and he makes the art, then either sends you the original or a print - again, through a printing company.

In this case, the artist is making the 3D printing instructions so there's not really an "original piece". Perhaps if he's a sculptor he sculpts in a medium and scans it, capturing details like his fingerprints in the pottery, so there is an original piece. But I suspect most 3D printers will print from files that have been digitally produced. Perhaps a 3D artist would scan some objects rather than draft them himself, using them as parts or for the beginning of a design.

And like flat printing, once an artist's work is captured in a print it's out there and available, and that could be scary. But it's just sculptors catching up to everyone else's intellectual property fears. After all, it's been possible for many years to use room temperature vulcanizing rubber to make a mold from someone else's sculpture and then cast your own sculptures in plaster or plastic. With the right processes you could cast your own metal figurines from someone else's metal figurine.

I have always wanted to create fan fiction in the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny universe, or at the very least find some, It seems like it would be very interesting.
Way ahead of you. I already have one (omniverse) where most of my art comes from. Pick an idea, and I might have memory of it, or if you're especially lucky, a rendering already made of it.

...I think I unintentionally shamelessly advertised the Random Art thread on my behalf.

Nonetheless, I've had that idea running in my head for eons (at minimum, 2 decades; and many dreams interacting with it) to the point it became it's own universe in my head. It started off as Star Wars and Star Trek sharing the same universe; and then Lexx and Farscape came onto the scene, and so did Stargate SG-1, Warehouse 13, Doctor Who, SCP Foundation, anime/manga... Like I mentioned in one of the many edits of my posts on the art thread, it's a "clusterfuck of what the fuck". It got to the point that it evolved in it's own way, and started showing me some originality. With how vivid things are in my head, I feel like I'm in a Twilight Zone episode.

On that note, it always bothered me how as ridiculous that uni-/multi-/meta-verse (any and all of the above, and sometimes, none at all; it's in a quantum-state) is,that it felt more real to me than our current reality. At least this universe is starting to catch up.

EDIT:
...Actually, Omniverse describes it rather aptly.

My genius idea is a program, in both client- and server-side forms, which  filters away fanfiction based on a number of criteria, such as tags, eroticity, spelling, punctuation, number of upvotes and downvotes  or equivalents thereof, ponies, shipping, second-person perspective, self-inserts, and so forth. Ideally, there would be a law requiring all fanfiction sites to install a version with certain presets hardcoded. Of course, FIMfiction would need a special version, or else there'd be no pony fics left.
Wait...
No pony fics left...
No... pony... fics... left..
Nevermind, FIMfiction has to use the standard software.
