Sorta. It's not meant to be accurate, just a classification of hulls and such.

I believe we're still missing someone, but I'll be running the turn regardless.

Edit: Tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

Working on it.

Deciding to change the system midgame was not a good idea; But it will help.

Katavis Star works

While upgrading your production facilities, you discover a glitch in the main control computer. If you had not discovered that, it's likely that a large part of the production installation would have been disabled.

Monolith Industries

No actions. Target Eliminated.

Leviathan Corporation

Spoiler: Unknown (click to show/hide)

You decide upon a plastic ship with an automated system for cargo control. It's cheap, and has a significant cargo storage. An innovative idea by your engineers means that the cargo is actually attached in separate hull segments, allowing rapid loading and unloading.

Vulcan SpaceYards

Spoiler: Unknown (click to show/hide)

You design a cargoship capable of landing  and taking-off from various planets. This does however ramp up the cost a little bit. However, it's strong engines give it a decent speed during transfer.

Research: all case studies (Ж 20,000)
Spoiler: Research (click to show/hide)

Loer Drone Departement

Spoiler: Netto (click to show/hide)

The Netto carrier is rather large, and quite expensive. However, it's FTL drive and engines make it really fast, and it has a significant cargo capacity.

Frex Shipyards Ltd.

Spoiler: Netto (click to show/hide)

Pax Shipping & Receiving , Inc

Z1 Diplomatic craft
Two pilot anti fighter Corvette
Cost: Ж 12,000
Production Cost : 8
Size: Large
Weight: Heavy
Speed: 3 (medium)
Armor: 7 (More than decent)
Weapons: 6*Laser
Tools: Long range sensors, Hacking system
Mutations: None

Helios Defence Corp

Name: X-2 Hellfire Singly pilot interceptor
Cost: Ж 6000
Production Cost : 8
Size: Small
Weight: Light
Speed: 6
Armor: 5 (Decent)
Weapons: High power laser *2
Tools: Short Range sensors
Mutations: Re-entry capable

You succeed in the modification of the Hellfire fighter. It's a pretty decent craft, though rather hard to produce.

New/Old Contracts:

The Havitak league has offered a tender for an interstellar cargo Hauler. They intend to acquire ten craft. production capacity does not need to be provided.

Various free planets need human transport ships, and are offering various contracts as ships are available. They must be cheap, safe and have a large passenger capacity. They are also seeking cargo ships with similar requirements. Speed is a bonus.

The Hologian Confederation seeks to standardize it's interceptor fleets. They offer a tender of 20 crafts; The Hologian Confederation will utilize it's own production facilities, so production capacity does not need to be provided.

The Nemean empire intends to buy dedicated anti fighter craft , in order to defend against Hologian fighters. They want to acquire 10 crafts. Production capacity does not need to be provided.

Various civilians want to acquire craft with space to atmosphere capabilities, for cargo and personnel deliveries. FTL is not required.

Craft performance

The Nemesis provides itself deadly against any fighter craft. However, it does have some trouble with the faster and more modern fighter craft.

The Adder craft is capable of taking on any fighter in a one on one, though testing indicates that it isn't as capable against larger crafts.

The Seeker craft manages to discover a series of new planets, with massive mineral deposits. This is likely to increase demand for mining vessels.

Loer's automated drone defense is a good deterrent for a lonely pirate, but has a tendency to be overwhelmed. When deployed in numbers, they do work well, though there 's a fear that the system can be hacked. Maintenance costs are also significant.

The Valkyrie is a capable pirate interceptor, responsible for taking down several pirate rings.

An important military transport in the Hologian Confederation has been intercepted. Rumours indicate that a new Nemean craft is responsible but have not been confirmed.

The X-1 rocket interceptor is not much of a success. When pirates come in range, it utterly decimates them thanks to it's superior speed, but it's hard to fly and has limited endurance.

Players

Note: I might have screwded up budgets. Pretty sure I did.

Market the X-2 to the Hologians

Hello again, trade partners! We here at Helios Defence Corp. have just recently devloped an improved version of the X-1 Interceptor, which we have heard has some... Minor problems. But don't worry! Our most recent fighter, the X-2 Hellfire, has increased flight capabilities and endurance, with a expanded powered arsenal of our new Firedex High Powered Lasers! This fighter is a great improvement for inter-stellar defense, with the added ability to reenter through orbit! At a sales price of 9.000, it is more expensive than our previous sales, but over %400 more versatile!

Finalize research on fusion propulsion, make a quick modification to the Valkyrie with the new engines, and aggressively pursue the Hologian contract.

"Frex Shipyards is happy to hear the success you have had with our Valkyrie interceptor. We have recently completed a brand new propulsion type that promises to push our ships even faster than before, to speeds unheard of in memory. We have included in this memo a plan for upgrading all your existing Valkyries, as well as the sale of a prototype for evaluation by your forces. We hope to continue a long partnership with the Federation, that should be mutually profitable to all involved."

As well(if my math is correct), I'll have a single cargo ship built as an example for the Havitak League.

"Frex Shipyards Ltd. is proud to showcase our newest craft, the Freya long-range transport((I prefer a Norse theme, 10ebbor, for future reference)). Combining our signature speed, large capacity for cargo, and an option to upgrade with various self-defense turrets for defense, as well as reasonable armor, this craft can take any cargo even through the most dangerous of spaces you can imagine!"

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Doing those quick modifications is only intended to work for recently designed craft, nor for predesigned ones.

I can allow it, but it might involve some risk.

Damn, That railgun/coilgun thing is a difficult topic? :P

Anyway, my turn, again marketing the Nemesis to the Nemean Empire:

Salutations once more form Katavis, we hear your need for a dedicated anti-fighter craft, and we shall answer the call with our proven Nemesis design! It's tough, it has the firepower, and it's strategically viable with it's FTL drive. Not only a proven design due to recent events, but it is a highly efficient, well-rounded ship, which is one thing our competitors seem not to realise: The Netto is a freight ship, and with it's armour, size and armament, not to mention the lack of sensors, make it extremely unsuited to anti-fighter duty, for it would be the prey rather than the predator. The Z1, while certainly more formidable in it's armament, is approximately 50% slower, lacks FTL capability, and nearly costs the same as a far more manoeuvrable and efficient Nemesis.

And we offer two things our competitors will not. First; we offer a 10-year warranty on all ships, so long as the damage hasn't been caused from direct combat. And second, in the event we have a much better ship qualitatively, we offer the opportunity to trade in the old ship for a new one, provided we can resell the old hull after modifications have been made. Finally, we listen to the feedback our customers give: If there are any issues or problems, inform us and we can modify our designs to accommodate the changes to produce a more efficient craft.

We trust that you know we are the optimal choice, and with our expanded production facilities, we can provide the entire order with our own factories allowing you to dedicate your own production elsewhere.
