So Taricus.  I see we are both competing for contracts with the Nemean Empire.  Tell me... can your ships turn sorta INVISIBLE?!?

Edit: F5, F5, F5...

Why would we need that? I'd hazard that most hulls would be detected through their heat and mass signatures.

Now, can yours redeploy quickly at all, over vast distances?

It is true that they can be detected via heat signatures, but more research into full stealth is incoming.  In any case, I guess they really shouldn't be intended for making the craft invisible, which on reflection is pretty dumb, but rather make it seem through their outward appearance (paint, emblems, etc.) that they belong to other empires/nations.  This is invaluable for creating conflicts and other skulduggery.

Also, if all goes well with the ship-side hacking, the craft may be able to fool the other ship's systems that detect heat signatures into believing that the point that the Y1 occupies is empty space.

For the diserning, creative customer, the ship holds near endless possibilities.  It cannot be redeployed over long distances, yes, but the craft should be able to fit on a carrier due to its small size and light weight.  How bout this one: can your craft quickly do hit and run type warfare?

Depends. Tactically, they can't. But due to their FTL drives, they can do so without having to be confined to a base/planet. And this is a big boon since no proper bays are yet developed for them.

Yeah I suppose it is true that a ship with an FTL drive doesn't have to worry quite as much about supply lines.  But the Y1 Surveyor was never meant to see a full-scale war, though I imagine it would perform adequately.  Better if their price was reduced.

I guess our ships really just have different roles, so we shouldn't be as concerned about competing with each other?

Dammit. Autocorrect.

Update.

Edit: Kind off RL problems. Update as soon as I'm able to stay focused on a thing for more than 15 minutes.
