I just tested, and you don't get automatically assisted while in a dungeon. Regular strifes, yes. Random encounters, no. For assistance in a dungeon, you need someone to come assist you manually.

That's a lot of everything. SO far I've been lucky that I can grind for both amethyst and gold at the same time, and do the same with sulfur and ruby. No such luck for the shiny grist types though.

So I found out that the stock exchange actually had grist available for once, so I sold the majority of my build grist and now I'm endgame-ready.
