It can't have a power level higher than 0 if you don't prototype pre-game. Using negative values like that guy^ will only harm you, though.

Monsters you fight might get your prototyping 'bonus' to my understanding. How does this work?

The strength of any pre-game prototyping may be randomly applied to any enemies you encounter. You, on the other hand, get a permanent bonus which is twice the strength of all of your prototypings. For that reason, you cannot prototype anything post-entrance that is stronger than your pre-prototyping, to prevent you from using something weak as the first and something broken as the second, thus breaking the game.

No one dare touch Mercury.  We will all be rich off of how much it will go up in it's per unit price next update to the market, if it isn't messed with.

Maybe? Doesn't the SE say it is "across the multiverse" aka all the currently active sessions?

Also if people can get me Polychromite, that would be great, I need about 4 mill of it and the SE is out.
