We need to start multitasking. Collect more stones for the pit and one extra stone to train with. Once we can melt stone with our flames we will have considerably improved our abilities, but that is not for now. after completing the firepit we need to get some food. Catch a small woodland creature with our fire-hardened and sharpened stick, impale it on the stick, then gatherer some sticks and roast it over fire we created. Both palms pointing towards the fire increase it's heat beyond what could be possible for the low amount of resources we gave it.
+1
You already have enough stones for the pit. You get some extra rocks anyways and leave them nearby.
You head a ways into the forest. You decide to hunt with your crude spear. You're not fast enough to catch anything large and its not ideal for killing smaller creatures. You finally give up and start casting stones instead. You have far more success with this and after only twenty minutes and plenty more failures you get a lucky hit on some small furry creature, striking it right in the head. You grab it while its stunned and quickly break its neck. You gather some thin branches on your way back to the clearing.
You toss the sticks into the pit and with some effort you work the dead creature onto the dull tip of your spear. You set this aside and hold your flame on the sticks until they catch fire. Having simply arranged the stones in the middle of a
grassy field, naturally the green catches fire as well. The flame spurts and easily spreads past the arbitrary boundary set by the rocks.

Pyromancy
After years of meditation and training myself to focus my will, I've finally managed to create something. Who knew this feeling could be so satisfying? And yet.. I'm not sure how I did it. It was lucid, and at the same time so incorporeal.Spark
I remember picturing my will and concentrating it into a single point. This tiny white mote.. like light through a pinhole.. and it was so hot! I panicked, tried to escape. Like an animal I had to get away from this searing pain that was trapped inside me. As I moved away, it leapt out! And suddenly all I felt was.. Cold.. And that was when I lost my focus. Why did I choose to think of home at that particular moment? I never want to remember what happened there again. Ever..Heart of the Flame
I pictured the mote of light again, but this time instead of running I tried drawing it in. Naturally I was burned (after a brief physical examination I confirmed that this experience was purely mental). The closer you are to the heart of a fire, the hotter it becomes. I should have known better, but then how could I resist? I think I need to learn a bit more about controlling the flame outside me before trying this again.Split
After experimenting with the Heart of the Flame a bit I've found it can be manipulated quite finely. I demonstrated this when I imagined it split into two, thus spawning a pair of separate flames above either of my palms. I've also found that the movement and positioning of my hands is vital to controlling the Flame.
