Either my suggestion, or a nice two - three hour nap, then my suggestion (the orbitting flame thingy).

You head back into the hut (that is to say you stumbled) and lay your things aside. By the time you're done shakily removing your shoulder pouch you can't help but lay down on the ground and pass out.

...

You wake up. Early morning light floods through the open door.

Blue Ribbon
Fire-Hardened Sharpened Stick

Locations
Clearing - Where you live. Its located in the center of a quiet stand of woods. The clearing is carpeted entirely in the tall grass that covers the entire forest floor. Spark
I remember picturing my will and concentrating it into a single point. This tiny white mote.. like light through a pinhole.. and it was so hot! I panicked, tried to escape. Like an animal I had to get away from this searing pain that was trapped inside me. As I moved away, it leapt out! And suddenly all I felt was.. Cold.. And that was when I lost my focus. Why did I choose to think of home at that particular moment? I never want to remember what happened there again. Ever..

Heart of the Flame
I pictured the mote of light again, but this time instead of running I tried drawing it in. Naturally I was burned (after a brief physical examination I confirmed that this experience was purely mental). The closer you are to the heart of a fire, the hotter it becomes. I should have known better, but then how could I resist? I think I need to learn a bit more about controlling the flame outside me before trying this again.

Split
After experimenting with the Heart of the Flame a bit I've found it can be manipulated quite finely. I demonstrated this when I imagined it split into two, thus spawning a pair of separate flames above either of my palms. I've also found that the movement and positioning of my hands is vital to controlling the Flame.

Water in our hut? that could be bad...

Do we have a shovel to create a small canal system to draw water away from our hut?

ahh an analogy.

Okay i say we go exploring. We'll grab a stick light it on fire and explore our surroundings a bit more for some landmarks.

The fire will help us keep a bit warm right?

Did your dreams give you any insight on how to proceed? If not then meditate on it.

do the orbiting flame bit. Hold out an arm, palm up. Vizualize a flame, rotate hand palm down, make circular gesture with finger, send falme in a circle around our body, about a foot or two away from our precious, precious skin.

You summon. The flame appears, a bit larger than it was yesterday (if you didn't get it you slept for 24 hours so you feel better than before). When you close your hand and extend your finger, the flame gravitates to the point of it. You start twirling your finger in a tiny circle without moving your arm or wrist and it follows it closely.

We need to start multitasking. Collect more stones for the pit and one extra stone to train with. Once we can melt stone with our flames we will have considerably improved our abilities, but that is not for now. after completing the firepit we need to get some food. Catch a small woodland creature with our fire-hardened and sharpened stick, impale it on the stick, then gatherer some sticks and roast it over fire we created. Both palms pointing towards the fire increase it's heat beyond what could be possible for the low amount of resources we gave it.
