{{can we document that in our journal gunin?}}
Document what? If you mean the fire talking to you that was a joke. Chalk it up to exhausted hallucinations if you must.

You put out the burning stick and throw it away, because you can always make another if you need to.

> Try to spread the infinitely small point out into a short, infinitely thin line.
As you spread the point out it gets smaller and smaller, until it's nearly invisible, then you feel an unseen force stopping you from stretching it any further. Like a wall.

Worn Leather Chest
 -Empty

Belongings - You can only carry so much with you. Leave unneeded items in your chest at home.
Plain Robes

Fire-Hardened Sharpened Stick
Shoulder Pouch
 - Paring Knife
 - Herb Tea Remedy

Locations
Clearing - Where you live. Its located in the center of a quiet stand of woods.

Pyromancy Journal - Your notes help you to control your power.

Pyromancy
After years of meditation and training myself to focus my will, I've finally managed to create something. Who knew this feeling could be so satisfying? And yet.. I'm not sure how I did it. It was lucid, and at the same time so incorporeal.

Spark
I remember picturing my will and concentrating it into a single point. This tiny white mote.. like light through a pinhole.. and it was so hot! I panicked, tried to escape. Like an animal I had to get away from this searing pain that was trapped inside me. As I moved away, it leapt out! And suddenly all I felt was.. Cool.. And that was when I lost my focus. Why did I choose to think of home at that particular moment? I never want to remember what happened there again. Ever..

Heart of the Flame
I pictured the mote of light again, but this time instead of running I tried drawing it in. Naturally I was burned (after a brief physical examination I confirmed that this experience was purely mental). The closer you are to the heart of a fire, the hotter it becomes. I should have known better, but then how could I resist? I think I need to learn a bit more about controlling the flame outside me before trying this again.

Just so you guys know, the titles of the entries in the journal are not the names of spells. Not that you can't name abilities to make them easier to refer to.

Oh no there I'm not naming them spells I'm just making a guess that further mastery lies in something our notes just don't hint enough.

Maybe more meditation?

Hold both hands out before us, palms up. Visualize two flames, one above each palm. do the whole "don't push or pull" bit. Create two flames.

I'm not sure what you mean by this.

Hold both hands out before us, palms up. Visualize two flames, one above each palm. do the whole "don't push or pull" bit. Create two flames.
The flame appears above either hand. Either flame is about half as big as it might have been if you had summoned it in but one hand.

You begin to feel light-headed.

Time to stop using our ability for a while and do something else. Like create an area for our experiments. Do we have a firepit? if not make one. Gather stones. Put them in a Circle in front of our hut, but at least twice further away than the hut is large.

((a permanent description of our current surrounding might be helpful, like:

You are at your hut. A slight breeze is blowing from the east. The door of the hut is closed. There is a haphazard circle of small stones a good distance away from your hut. The circle is filled with ash. There is a forest to the north east and west. There is a trampled path leading into the forest to your south. Off into the distance to the southeast you can see a river. There are twigs on the ground. there is a charred stick on the ground.

adapted to whatever we actually see.

You ignore the sick feeling in your stomach and head into the wood a bit. You gather some large stones and lug them back one or two at a time. You arrange them in a neat circle amidst the tall grass surrounding your home.

Clearing - Where you live. Its located in the center of a quiet stand of woods. The clearing is carpeted entirely in the tall grass that covers the entire forest floor. Split
After experimenting with the Heart of the Flame a bit I've found it can be manipulated quite finely. I demonstrated this when I imagined it split into two, thus spawning a pair of separate flames above either of my palms. I've also found that the movement and positioning of my hands is vital to controlling the Flame.
