Alright, I guess. You're the one paying for it.
Edit: I can't keep you and Azthor straight. Two 'A' names with dark avatars.

So, I've added a poll concerning research. Up to now the game has been running slow too slow for my tastes and thus i put the decision up to vote whether you want Research Costs halved or not

Azthor, what do you know that I don't? I thought that most of the colonial morale problems were caused by excessive off-culture people. I would rather get rid of most of my people, so I can drop martial law, and am tempted to switch my immigration policy to Do Not Accept.

Yes, the colonial morale problems are a direct consequence of the amount of immigrants not yet culturally assimilated. However, with negative population growth, that is precisely why I must continue sending migrants Thorin I's way. If I stop, Thorin I will slowly decline into a token assimilated populated. If I continue, unrest will stay for a while yet, but the assimilated population will eventually stabilize into a large pool.

That is why I originally called colonies a liability. The Mandate will continue sending Thorin I the necessary credits to maintain order until we can ensure basic support for survival; in the meantime, we want Thorin I as populated as possible, with as large a Thorian population as possible, so that when the time comes to stabilize Thorin I in full, it will be immediately prosperous, rather than a depopulated husk.

The choice is yours, but I'd honestly rather pay for your unrest than watch Thorin I die out.

Before the first complaints arise, i have mentioned before that the Economic System was thought for minor players to do something and that if somebody would abuse it it would have repercussions. Azthor i already told you that when you started building Mines on Mars.

I... I think I win.

EDIT: You said I was mad! You said I'd never be able to find a planet to support natural growth! Well, I proved you wrong!

it won't support growth. It has 70% Quality. Thats -3% Growth. Terran gives you +1% and Your Civ Tech of 1 gives you also +1%. So you end up with -1% growth. However that does only come into place at a population of above 100 Million. So yes you will survive but no you won't be able to sustain a large scale colony.

Also you barely managed to get that Planet as Terrestial. In the Generator one point worse at Air Quality and you would have had a Desert Planet there instead. Consider it a very very dry World. So msot of it resembles Africa or Helghan...although it has a slightly better Air Quality then Helghan.

For the moon you need Civ Tech 4.

Edit: Moon has 130% Quality...thats ridiculously much as far as base Quality goes.

EDITtotheEdit: im considering givign you a -1 on every roll from now on just to even things out a bit :P

It was a good idea of Ardas to revolt early, the Solon can't really stop him.

Edit: I'm curious about how Ghazkull generates the worlds now...

Okay several important informations due to recent IRC talks:

1 Refinery is supplied by 5 Mines. That means for each five mines you need 1 refinery.

Secondly:

i have parted your private and your state accounts. PLanetless players can still somewhat try and snatch money from their official accounts but those who own a planet will suffer the fate of Ardas and Azthor. Which btw after i was informed of oversights in my department has now suffered the same problem as azthor namely corruption.

Notice you can always pay from your private accounts into state accounts but not vice versa....

Planet Generation: I take the Rogue Trader Advanced Star System Generator, throw out anything too outlandish and abstract Air Quality, Gravity, Size of Planet, Main Planetary Features, Special Features and the Sun used into the Planets Quality.
