Sign me up... We'll see if the goblins, zombies, etc will get through the Labyrinth of Dorftm (coming soon to a MurderPaddles near you!)

It will be done by Friday morning at most (Also, we should really get this OP list updated; It would make it mush easier...)

Hey, I'm really sorry, and I feel like a complete asshole, but I won't be able to finish my turn. I won't have time to  play for a bit, and it would probably be best for everyone if I just gave back the save. Once I have a more stable schedule, maybe I'll take another turn but until then; http://puu.sh/87z8D

That save?

Huh... Guys? We've got a problem here :
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

To make it simple, the remaining goblins managed to enter the fortress, which forced me to conscript the entire adult population (As I had no time to actually reform a decent military), who are now fighting to death to defeat the invaders.

Estimated percentage of Dwarven combat casualties : 76% of the population
Estimated percentage of Dwarven collateral casualties : 100% of the population

EDIT : Don't worry, the update will be made on time; My estimation were (slightly...) wrong

Diary of Reg Dedukmishos, mayor of Murderpaddles (Renamed as such a few days ago, when it was considered that Authoredmountains was too sweet of a name for such a degrading colony...)

First of Moonstone, year 131 :

I do not know what to do anymore : Our army has been decimated to the point that I think it will take years to decently reform it (Not that six men was enough to be counted as a "decent" army at first...), our economy is almost literally brain dead and, soon enough, the entire fortress will be overrun by either goblin or miasma, both leaving the bodies of their victims behind... I'm generally a compassionate Dwarf, but really : WHAT WAS THIS FOOLISH PSYCHOPATH THINKING!?...

*Sigh*... And yet, I can still say that I'm quite content; Thanks to my social awkwardness, I never had any real friend (Without, of course, counting my delicious but absent wife...), which means that, on the contrary of some of my peers who are now decimated by the lost of their loved one, I'm still living my life without the burden of grief...

But let's stop talking (Should I say writing when it's in my journal?) about my personal life and get to what really matters : The administration of this hellho- I mean, colony.

Before I do anything else, here's the fort's general stocks and wealth, as reported by Alath, my trusted manager and bookkeeper :

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Our situation seemed critical (As if things could be worse...), but as I watched the numbers in horror, Alath managed to save me from depression by telling me that already cooked and prepared meals were not on the general list (Which is stupid, but who am I to criticize the old Dwarven way?), but rather in the full book. After a quick verification, I was relieved to learn that we still had a rather massive amount of ready-to-be-eaten food and an not-as-massive amount of ingredients, which meant that the first phase of the operation "Airtight Eden" could be launched...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Fifth of Moonstone, year 131 :

I ordered the destruction of a wall; It may seem odd, but it will allow some of our dwarves to get back inside. In the meanwhile, I am waiting for our miners to dig the airtight chamber, which will permit the fortress to survive endlessly if my plan work as intended...

Huh? Why is that giant toad inside the colony?... THE INVADERS ARE INSIDE THE FORT!

25th of Moonst- :

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

[Some words are unreadable as they are covered in blood] I don't thi...of this m...skull is sof...He, or sh...ling factor...They b...kill

Diary of Tulon Mebzuthèrith, mayor by Interim of Murderpaddles

Fifth of Opal, year 131 :

Report of the recent (And still going on) attack : The Goblins are finally dead; I would rejoice if we had not another task at hand : Killing the Law-Giver. The battle of our conscript against the beast has started weeks ago : How can this Demon be still alive?!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

ANOTHER OF THESE FORSAKEN BEAST? What brought it here? The smell of blood? The children's cries? The will to end our suffering as soon as possible?... We're finished

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry if it's short as a first update : I was rather surprised by most event (Goddamn invaders...)

Also, please excuse me for the evident lack of screenshot, I'll do better next update, which should be done tomorrow (With the hope that this fortress will survive the arrival of another beast...)

Hehe, glad to see this thing is finally back on track. Think you can get one or two dwarfs bitten by the weregiraffe (without dying)? A weregiraffe army might be just what this fort needs, or far more likely, the next in a long line of disasters; I'm for it either way. Locking away one of them would be good insurance against fortress death, too. They can still go insane, but I know for sure they can last without food or drink indefinitely. Not sure if their mood resets on transformation, but it would be great if it did.

The real problem right now is Law-Giver; His legs are all broken, but I think it will take at least another week of fighting to kill him. For the weregiraffe, I can get some dwarf bitten rather easily, but I'm still unsure about survival (Especially in the state they all are...)

I decided to make a small update now, in order to add a dramatic effect. I will post the rest tonight.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Diary of Tulon Mebzuthèrith, mayor by Interim of Murderpaddles

10th of Opal, year 131 :

I don't know where this Weregiraffe went and, to be frank, I do not care; we must kill that Demon or else we're all going to die...

Diary of Reg Dedukmishos, mayor of Murderpaddles

24th of Opal, year 131 :

Finally back to life! I would thanks Stagshil if it wasn't for the fact that the beast is yet to be dead.

It was decided that since we couldn't kill the beast, we'd simply seal it inside a room; How unfortunate the chamber in question was the official dining room of the fortress. It's a necessary evil I suppose.

5th of Obsidian, year 131 :

Why is it not moving? It's obviously still alive and yet, it doesn't move at all. I guess I cannot complain : Its immobility means that we'll be able to cause a cave-in right on its head, but it's far too suspicious to be let unattended. The fact that most Dwarves are either dead or dying is not helping either; I cannot wait for the next migration wave to bring some fresh and happy people...

8th of Obsidian, year 131 :

I finally decided to make a count of every Dwarf still alive, and the numbers are well over my worst expectations : From a total of 63 Dwarf before the battle's beginning, we are now at 26.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The worst thing about it is that it will continue to go down, as almost everyone (Including me...) is in a critical state, either caused by wound, starvation or thirst.

13th of Obsidian, year 131 :

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I hate this place with all my heart

We're doomed. Doomed, doomed and doomed again. I thought that our misery was about to end, but I was a fool : It was just the beginning. I've ordered once again for the fortress to be sealed, but now, there's not even one Dwarf with enough energy to bring himself to build a wall...

I cannot handle the pressure anymore. I've asked to the closest child to bring me the first adult who looked remotely sane he could find; If this fortress and all of its inhabitant are going to die, I shall not be responsible for it...

Alright people, I don't wan't to sound like the pessimistic asshole of the group, but in the state that it is right now, the fortress is literally doomed : Every working dwarves are either dead or dying, the childrens are all depressive and we'll soon enough be all killed either by the Lizard Demon or the army of undead. For these reasons, I ask for the permission to start again.

(I can, of course, still continue where I am, but I think that Mudrerpaddles will die during my turn then...)
