Noam waves at Erden, "Hello!"

Erden gave a confused glance. Who was this person? He could not shake the feeling that they had met, if only briefly. His name was no... Knome? Gnome. Gnome! That was his name! He straightened his back to full height, resting his hand on the shovel handle while the blade rested on the tiles. "Greetings Gnome. I trust you are well?"

"You wanted me?"

Erden nodded and pushed back into the room past the smaller students. "Yes. I have some materials that you may be interested in. In exchange, I would like to know if you could reinforce this shovel."

"If that is what the earth wills, then yes." Erden said with a nod of affirmation. Gnome seemed a bit excitable.

"If it can work for Yorik... I'll take a whack at it."

"No. God says it's perfectly natural... And the weirdest fucking thing he's ever seen."

Noam nods and smiles, "Yep! What'ya doing here? Oh, are you here to get your powers tested too?"

"No. God says it's perfectly natural... And the weirdest fucking thing he's ever seen."

"Okay!" Noam starts giggling, "You should see their faces though."

"If it can work for Yorik... I'll take a whack at it."

While Erden had not a clue who Yorik was, he assumed that this was a vote of confidence in his favor. The shovel was good. Erden handed the necessary materials and turned to Gnome with a confused look.

"Power testing?"

"Power testing?"

"Yep! You have to use your powers to beat up someone! Unless you've already used them, of course! Then you get a free pass or something."

"Yeah, I thought the big guy was having a flashback to the Abrahamic days."

Kyle takes the shovel and bits and goes under the desk.
He comes back up with a newly sharpened and slightly bluish tinged version of the shovel.
"Bit of diamond alloy in the metal bits... which is practically all of it. Over the old of course should you want me to revert it for whatever reason. On the other hand I don't owe you change due to how hard it is to get the diamond alloy."

"That's rather dramatic. Well, I suppose that's a good sign of my strength."

Kyle rolls his eyes.
"It was probably pure luck. It seems to happen at times."

Kyle shudders.
Janitors are very consistent in their power."

Erden grimaced. This child's bloodlust was surprising. But the test was sure to be interesting. Whether he would he would be able use them well or not depended on a number of factors. First, he would need to be in an environment that supported Geomancy. Then it would require him to be in a certain frame of mind. Emotions were the key to using Geomancy. Tone when speaking to the earth was important. Actions made out of anger could be devastating to both him and anyone around him. Fortunately, he was confident in his ability to remain a level head in battle. He responded with a smile. "If I must use my powers, then I shall.

Erden took the shovel in his hand, twisting about. Balanced and pristine, although the sharpened edge made him a bit worried about Kyle's intentions. Still, it was a masterpiece of garden ware. "An excellent piece of work. Thank you Mr. Kyle."
