Noam waves at the new arrival, "Hello! I'm Noam. What's your name?"
Erden suddenly hears a voice. Not very loud but somewhat pleasant.
<I'll get the whole thing with the school fixed once I'm done ridin' this gnarly wave dude.>
In a while Erden would notice that he can navigate the ACADEMY with ease as the earth is able to tell him where to go.
The smell of saltwater was something new to Erden. Having spent his entire life in the mountains, the entire experience of coming to the Academy was new. Life was slower there.
A fact which aided in his surprise when he his senses were barraged by a series of voices and a series of frantic hand waving which Erden did not fully comprehend as a greeting. The first voice came seemingly out of nowhere. He quickly recognized it as the voice of God, but was deeply disturbed by the fact that it was echoing about in his mind. Then he was further disturbed by the fact that this "God" was reading his mind or had been watching him wander the halls aimlessly. Erden would have attempted a reply of some sort, but before he could speak, he realized others were speaking to him.
Someone had called out to him. He did not hear the first speaker clearly, having already been absorbed in his thoughts. Erden struggled with the persons name. No... Gnome? Why would someone be named after a such a thing? Thankfully, this character ran off before he could speak, leaving the other.
Andrej welcomes the new guy. "You must be new here. What's your name?"
This time Erden was determined to make a reply. He bowed slightly, and said
"I am Erd-".
Andrej takes off his clothes to reveal that he has his swimsuit underneath them and jumps into the water.
"den..."He frowned. The non-mountain people were far too quick for his stony tongue. At the very least, they were not staring. This left the women. Despite some of them being half-naked, the females among them were not being violent like the Amazonians were. He shuddered at the memory and quickly displaced into a dark corner. Regardless, their waving intrigued him and some of them looked pretty. He would endeavor to at least... Stand near them. Yes. That is what he would do.
Erden walks over slowly and joins them. The sounds of the "little thunders" covered up a bit of the noise that the swimmers were making. He turned toward water and watched it with curiosity, stroking his side burns.
