Erden does not take notes, and is simultaneously surprised that his classmates had to take them. While the planner helped, he was required to remember anything worth remember by ear and sight while growing up on the mountain. Paper was largely considered a novelty.

Pretty soon class is over leading to the five minute period to get to the next class, which is literature.

Before Lizzie can get to far however, Erden places his hand upon her shoulder with as much gentleness as his large hands can muster. Pulling aside her, he walks with her down the hallway. His face is a bit somber, worried perhaps. "Still with the device I see." he says, gesturing to the laptop.

She nods to him a bit.
"Yeah.. It hasn't been acting up at all, though. I'm pretty sure it's safe.. Besides, I'm not sure what it'd be able to do to me. Maybe squeeze part of my fingers with the disk tray? Pft... That'd be ridiculous... So, are you doing okay?"

"Yes... Indeed." The Mountain Man laughed, chuckling with extreme half-heartedness. However, Erden it made him reflect a bit at what Elizabeth had said. The young girl had a point. The laptop didn't seem to be dangerous any more. Still; he had to acknowledge that he feared the laptop *just* a little bit. Technology had that sort of aura about it that he didn't always understand. However, if Elizabeth was unafraid, then he would bite his tongue. What he was doing now was akin to an outsider proclaiming the evils Geomancy. It was absurd. For now at least, he would swallow his apprehensions. They weren't worth bothering Elizabeth about.

Then he realized that he had not replied for several seconds. Nervously, he rectified the situation by blurting out, "Yes! I am indeed doing 'ok'."

This was followed by another nervous chuckle. Erden was feeling awkward today.

Charlotte waited for James outside of the classroom, when she saw him come out she waved and began to sign to him.

"I didn't know you taught here"

"Normally I'm not a teacher but sometimes they need a sub on short notice. Sorry about not getting you a replacement interpreter."
