Enki sighs deeply, pushing the book lightly away from himself. He knew all this junk already. He lived with it in his body... a bit too much. It wasn't no much as making him angry and frustrated, but more restless. He knew that he couldn't distract himself forever with information that he already knew, and most of the subjects in the various books that littered the library, didn't interest him.
"My brain is hard to please, apparently..." Enki muttered.
With that said, he rubbed his temple roughly with his left hand, eventually putting a single earbud into his left ear, to give his mind something to focus on. Meanwhile, the other ear, and both his eyes, trained in on Aoi's relatives, occasionally shifting his view to make it not as obvious and rather natural.
As he sat, his thoughts drifted to Aoi. Specifically, his general concern for her... situation, if that is a simple enough term for it. His own concern for her safety particularly made him worry about himself. He hadn't felt this close to someone in... well, forever. The last time he did... Enki shakes his head. Now is not the time for such thoughts. Back to Aoi... Why her? What was so special about her? Perhaps he found similar interests with her in some areas, but that's not enough. He had met plenty of people that he could share interests with in the past, but he never felt this way with them... How did he feel for her? This bothered him. Having someone on his mind so much felt... weird, and unusual. He typically preferred to keep people distant... but why not her? Perhaps it was because of her situation? Maybe because he felt a need to comfort her in some way because she seemed hurt? Enki sighed once again. He secretly hoped that pain would not follow with this friendship. They always seemed to, for some reason. Perhaps it was his power. Perhaps it was his personality.
Enki finally zones out after all of his thoughts running through his head, his music playing softly in his ear as his thousand-yard stare trains on Aoi.
