When the friend is affecting the world he uses a constant amount of energy (HP) and teleporting takes half of of your current energy.

Ow.
And, um, how much is this constant depletion of HP? And while I'm at it, how fast does it regenerate?

HP is regenerated after every battle with it completely returning after about ten posts.

It depletes at two HP per affecting action. So moving is two, putting something down is two ect.

And how about out-of-combat? Is that the 10%-per-post thing?

I mean it is kind of my sole power and things like teleport dogeing aren't worth it if they cost half your health.

Indeed.
Even if Calvin's teleportation is more limited, it should also be more expensive. (It's not supposed to be a combat ability, either.)
(...I need to get more combative characters. If after a couple missions Calvin turns out to be boring or dead, I'll change to a more combat-oriented character.)
