{...Looks kind of like a C, if you squint. I'll be kind and tone it down for you.}

  "Stop grinning before I wipe that smile off your face for good." You growl.

  Dutifully, the smile vanishes, though his crimson eyes still sparkle with mirth. "Ah, dear sister. As subtle and devious as ever."

  "Shut your trap, Xander."

  Your brother crosses his arms, a guesture of peace. "I merely wished to congratulate you on convincing our Matron to allow you to enter Melee-Magthere. We all knew how much she wished another priestess; It must have taken a tongue like spider silk to convince her otherwise."

  You twitch imperceptibly as you remember how you "convinced her". Or rather, how the Yochol had told her that it would rather defect to Elistree than serve a priestess of your "caliber". Your mother watched in horror as you attempted to stab the demon without thought, and you were only spared by it's sudden melancholy, and the observation that "Drow these days-", cut off as it returned to the demonweb pits.

  You were immediately swapped from Arach-Tilinith to Melee-Magthere, without comment or resistance.

  No laws against lying. "It did. But it it's hard to use a silver tongue on a brother with the mind of a Deep Gnome." Xander's eyes narrow.

  "My sisters word is the word of Lloth." He intones, a line from a children's book.

  "So, what other reason had you for violating the sanctity of my room?"

  He blinks slightly at the word 'Sanctity', but otherwise remains stoic. "I merely wished to wish you luck, and to perhaps give you a gift to assist you in Melee-Magthere. I recall my own days at the academy. The students of the fighters would run about Sorcere and light themselves and others aflame in bouts of brutish stupidity. Perhaps a bit of magic might assist you."

  His eyes sparkle again in the dim light, his face wreathed in dim shadows as he inclines his head. "If you would permit it, I could... Enchant a weapon of yours. As is my... Specialty."

  A) "Of course."

  B) "I need no wizards tricks to survive Melee-Magthere."

One thing, is that we're more likely to be a fighter. Barbarians don't get heavy armour as a starting feat, and even if they dom they can't use some of their abilities in it.

But yes, A. Only if we can get him to enchant a shield so that we don't need to hold it for it to be useful.

{A}

"Of course." Who could say no to a nifty flame-sword?

You toss your brother Zweihander, which almost sends him toppling despite Adamantine's light weight. He manages to get his feet under him and waddles off to his personal room.

He returns quite a while later. In fact, it's been several hours, much longer than he usually takes. You guess it must be a fine enchantment. The blade shows no fire when you test it's heft and balance, but when your strike slices a few stray hairs from your brothers head, you notice it flash slightly, and the smell of smoke slowly fills the room.

"You did well. I am pleased." You tell your brother. He bows deeply.

"I exist only to serve, Ma-... Sister."

A) {Take the compliment}

B) {Get offended}

A.

"While the enchantment is quite fine on first examination I was hoping for more of a... geyser of flame. You did well. Keep being that useful and I just might decide you're not so bad after all."

{A}

You smile grimly at his purposeful slip of the tongue.

"You're dismissed."

Xander bows deeply and leaves with a swirl of dark robes. You're left standing at your door, your new blade over your shoulder.

It's almost the underdarks idea of nighttime, you spy as you glance out the window, towards the great stone pillar that serves as a sort of pseudo clock. You could go to bed, to arise bright and early... But your new sword begs to feed. You know of a few slaves that would make good test subjects for Zweihander.

A) {Early to bed, Early to rise}

B) "Oh, Slavelings.~ I have a special job for you!~"
