You could get a ghost blade if it's able to survive your synthflesh using it while Hallelujahing, after all, it can go straight through armor and scales with your physical strength, which is utterly monstrous. Just jump around using your agile body and shank everyone to death.

@RC I... don't think it's a manipulator? I mean, it doesn't even use anyone's brains for that (as far as we know). All Piecewise had to say on the matter of kinamps was (copied from the Armory):

>"Kinetic amps seem to be unaffected for the large part but their outputs are more difficult to guess now, and can often be under or overpowered. "

Though I looked up the quote and it seems uncertain whether the number of uses limit for "space magic" is strictly for amps/manips, or for other kinds of magic as well.
We should probably ask Piecewise for clarification and update/not update the Armory page explanation.

Can I get a matter saver as mission equipment?

and maybe an update on whats going on with my diamond thermometer?

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

I dunno Nik, you'd have to ask in the poke thread. Either way, wouldn't hurt to hold fast to the cautionary principle in any case, and she can buy new toys with the refund money.

Check the wiki thread U_P, xan asked the same. Basically, I'm waiting for pw to aprove of the payments, waiting for a pm from him. Hopefully later today he'll get on and answer.

Why would you need a matter saver as mission equipment though?

So no specific need then, just another weapon. Yeah, I think Auron has quite a bit of firepower already, so nope. But maybe you'll be able to afford one yourself once m24 gets payed.

Also, we have enough people to create an additional newb team and an extra vet team. I'm gonna ask pw if he prefers the extra teams or would rather have the existing ones be larger.

Purchase 3-pack of CLF3 Brisant Grenades for 2 tokens
This was from Maurice, by the way.
((You know, this was missed. Dorsidwarf, am I wiki'ing it, or have you decided otherwise?))

I'm still after the 'nades, yes. Why have a mission involving civilians if you can't even dissolve a whole crowd to clear avenues of fire?

"Yep, I definitely thought it might work out if I fought a God that is bigger than a universe. What of it?"

How very .... dwarfy.

I nominate Ryan as "sanest doctor" now, since Maurice seems to have lost touch with this universe's reality long before he met Lurker.

You're using metaknowledge and/or hindsight 20/20 to judge him. If you encounter a hostile mental influence during a mission, then trying to fight it is the best thing you can do is fight it. Even the AM says that. Given that he was dealing with mindfuck, he would have no way of knowing what's really going on and if he can win or not.

That's why I would had liked being a lawyer in that trial. I could speak for my client, sush him when he says something we haven't rehearsed, claim that he is in a bad mental state and thus his last  statement should be ignored by the jury, make closing statements...

Nah, just trying to set the record straight. To make the lives of Maurice's future biographers easier (although, probably less juicier). And to save an innocent dead man from posthumous damnation. Also, bothering with lies and misconceptions is... undignified. Does not behold a man of his position and calibre, anyway.

I mean, had Milno or Miyamoto been before a trial like this (for their own reasons, but with similar drama involved), would they bother with any of that stuff? I'd like to think that they'd hold to their right to honesty before their peers until the end.

As much as it pains me to say, I guess Maurice was never the Sanest Medic around here. The Competent Medic, maybe, though note that he never himself proclaimed that much.
(Though, to be fair, Maurice's slightly slipping touch with reality is still very tame by standards of HMRC/ARM. I mean, his greatest offence is, down to it, what, optimism? ...Okay, I agree, a significant mental disorder, but there are far worse ones out there. :P )

Thank you for your words of support, Paris. Yeah, hindsight and off-mission safety make for a very different perspective on things. I can't say that a "tamed" version of the trial, with lawyers and so on, would have been more interesting, but I guess having someone see over your statements and point out the bits that sound very different to audience than they sound in your head would have been extremely useful. (Like that time when I just wanted to offer an IC explanation to Hasala's silence... and look how it was understood.  :( )

Stingy radio is stingy.

Matter savers have many tactical uses that arent limited to just increasing firepower.
Like smuggling things, or containing artifacts, or silently breaching locks, or stealing computers, or silent assasinations, or abducting brains for later interrogation, or preventing bombs from exploding in your face, or launching pancaek spears at the enemy commander, or robbing banks, or carrying around a pocket black hole...

I'm using two posts to judge by, if I am judging at all, and not making amusing comments for their own sake: the one in which the entity is described as "bigger than the universe", and the one in which Maurice responds, not exactly by fighting or resisting, but by going "mine" and embracing it.

Were m26 to do the same with the mindfuck acid from an alien universe, we would all have had melted heads and be dead. instead, we resisted, and two of us managed to resist out of it and rescue the rest, while a third resisted via drugs. None of us looked at the acidwalls and said "know what, think I'll keep it."

There's fighting, and there's leaping willingly into it's mouth.
