I thikn, if you took someone with Origin tech from this universe into another, it would essentially be opening the door for Lurker t omove into that universe also, since It got into this universe through cracks in reality and spread it's influence through Origin.
Origin tech wouldn't work in another universe.

You're just so much protein on a sock out there.
Hah, that's exactly how I thought it worked.

hey piecewise, would it be possible to get a free suit that can switch between being mostly transparent and completely opaque?

i have a rather comical idea for raiding the deep infirmary that just might be stupid enough to work.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

So, are you saying a superuniversal godbeing which established a connection with Origin tech in this universe through touching one item couldn't worm its way into any other universe that had origin tech conveniently carried to it? Or are you just saying that origin tech would generally be nonfunctional because Origin loses it's link to them? Or both?

@Radio
I used this post.  It honestly didn't occur to me, but I guess it never has been vetted by the council--only PW.  Should I revert the edits until you guys are done looking over it?  And do you need a writeup beyond what's in the "variant" section on the assaultsuit page?

Also, optionally adding the 2PEW to the mobility variant was entirely my idea when I editted the page.  It makes logical sense to me (Less armor==less heatsink==lower firerate), and fair because it's nerfing the weapon without lowering the cost.  I probably should have asked somebody about it first though, sorry. :-[

Edit:There's a wonderful little quote a couple pages later:
Fear not, of course. Everything will be sorted out and dealt with in due time. I have a new mission planning bar to set. This mission will be perfect. I promise.
It will not be allowed to go wrong.
Poor Nik.

If pw ok'd it, then it's fine by me. One thing though, doesn't that irc log have sean mention the suit also loses the electrical surface defense and the claymore defenses? Because they weren't compatible with using the armor as the heat sink?

As for the second variant, maybe just quickly run it by pw to be sure?

my interpretation is that origin tech loses its magic upon relocation and therefore theres nothing for the lurker to link to.

Have I misunderstood things, or would it be possible that the roguelike infirmary dungeons people are going into could end in a final boss fight against the AM, the way things are going?

Not possible. The AM is a threat on an even higher level than a AoP, and it's limited to low level characters with a max party size of 5. Even if "the AM" is made the final boss, it will not remotely be her full skillset but instead be a heavilly gimped version of her that isn't representative of the actual AM (aka: the AM would be fighting herself and the dungeoneers would just be trying to tip the scales, not actually take her on on their own). Odds on it'll just be a fleshbomination that's bigger and/or nastier than the others they'll be dealing with. If there's even a boss at all.

By "final", I did not mean for the AM. Probably.

Just something for Milno and the grunts to mull over.

Other possible final bosses:
  • Flesh Spore Swarm: Just like a bob-omb! Except with all of Xan's old powers. Kamikazes via horrible fleshwarping overshots!
  • Cute Lurker in the Angles Plushie: Because why the hell not?
  • The Doctor's Porn Stash: SAN loss for all! You're never stop crying, not even when we have to euthanize you!
  • TIMMY-possessed Robo-body: Hope you like reruns of All My Parasitic Alien Offspring! But hey, at least you might be able to get some more of Timmy's Tears from it.
  • Failed Seed Crystal: Some horrible failed experiment made out of matter-assimilating psychic crystals from early on in the development of the Crystalline Projector.
  • Crystalline Abomination: The Doctor was working on a cure for crystallization. This was one of his test subjects.
  • IVAN: He's back and out for vengeance against his mortal foe: The Lockerknight. But since he's dead already, so horribly maiming you will have to do
  • Ninja Murder Crystal Golem: Free blueraditite! You know, if you actually survive its angry death ray wrath.
  • Magical Girl Fleshhorror Doll: It's bald and has the words 'FUCK ANIME' tattooed on its head.
  • Mesk's Remains: Supernatural forces continuous break and repair his spine, making it flail around at ludicrous speeds.
  • Project HAWKING: A flesh horror granted the powers of quantum wizardry.
  • Black Eziel's Choir: Because the swamp from Perplexicon is too awesome/fucked up to be left unused.
  • Stevebot Prototypes: The name says it all.
  • Crier: Able to create and use Timmy's Tears. Might end up getting dragged into the Void halfway through the fight.
  • Bullseye Tester: Equipped with Lukas' Bullseye targeting system.
  • Janitor's Corpse: Jhoseph's still-radioactive corpse. Reanimated, it burns everything with its saintly aura. Or maybe it's just the new, unshielded reactor installed in it.
  • Metasharks: Sharks made out of sharkmist. Because that needs to be a thing.
  • Fungi-horrors: The Flesh-horrors you've grown to love, now in new Haebi flavor!
  • Innocuous Door Rigged to Detonate a Nuclear Stockpile: Now with extra cobalt so you don't need to add the salt yourself!
  • Cute Life-Sized Lurker in the Angles Plushie: It's larger than the universe itself! Even though it's technically part of the universe and contained within the universe.

I figured the post would be a waste without at least a few serious suggestions :P

Personally, I'm hoping for something Timmy-related that can be salvaged to make Timmy-tech that is probably dangerous as all hell (and possibly sated through sitcoms).

That suggestions reminded me that there was Bruce, one ex-player turned NPC by the Doc that had great regenerative powers without the Nanobots.... don't know if he is still there..

Edit: Here is him
Go meet Gimp.

The gimp, as it turns out is Bruce bedecked in a strange sort of armor that looks like it's designed less to stop him from being damaged and more simply to keep his damaged parts from getting separated from one another. His head is enclosed in a faceless metal mask and he's wielding a long, almost rapier-like blade and swaying back and forth.

"Had to make some significant modifications. More fun now though. Give him a try."

What if Timmy is the Lurker?

Timmy's not into geometry. It confuses him. Though whatever it was that took him over is fair game (though the problem with that is why it even needed to come into the universe, given it was already here).
