Yeah, the problem is I'm not willing to risk testing it on myself. I could make a pact with somebody or something.

I think the pills could be really useful, especially if we can start to isolate certain effects or take DNA samples from test subjects.

So M21 fucks up the universe, and M23 gets it experience it firsthand on one of the most populated planets of the UWM.

I'm glad I picked the 'lie low' mission, not like it's time to take advantage of the situation and move in and install our own government, no.

Maybe after the dust settles a little bit. Declaring a new government while multiple world sized stacks full of dying people declare war on each other, are consumed by cults of destruction, and see us as a primary target because we have the resources they desperately need is probably not the ... least ER method of doing things. On second thought, in the spirit of Einsteinian Roulette, go for it.

By the way M23, you could also offer to the government that you'll deal with the cult and help maintain stability and such, in exchange for them passing a law that gives you a lot of freedom in how you handle them or just keeping a blind eye (and money to keep the business facade real, but so cheap it'll still be a steal for them). Would mean a large pool of extra people to extract, and you could hire/use others for eg your private military forces. Might help to keep them off your back. Hep could perhaps ship you the stuff you need?

Millions have starved, and the cult is "literally charging up the stack." We never really billed ourselves as a peacekeeping organization. the security army was a consequence of our rise to fame, glory, and position of envy to the masses. We'd be delighted, though, to have the stuff we need shipped. Any bargaining ship wold be seized desperately and squeezed till it squeaks. We're trying to contact Steve or anyone to help, but since this isn't the only hive world, nor the only fleet of suddenly incapacitated ships, nor even an ally, we might be low priority, unless Steve truly views these bodies as high priority.

We already have contracts to legally dispose of just shit tons of prisoners too, so that part is fine. it's the famine, war, and madness that worries me, lol. At lest the third hoseman - Space Plague- hasn... wait, that's what started this whole mess anyway. Welp.

Sure, but (hypothetically speaking here) if the government was to give you free hand in it, then even if you can't get more bodies to ship, it might make it easier to nerve gas a couple cult strongholds or so if they really become a threat without having to worry the popo will come crack you down for it. Dunno, just spitballing, haven't read everything about the mission, mostly just glanced at pw's posts.
