Thinking about it... maybe Doc made Xan so hand-y for a reason. Because with so many hands, he might have enough to handle the Doc's many limbs and his fetish for messing with organs. In a way, it's like a substitute for his previous tendency of becoming large multi-limbed monstrosities. A sort of more stable fleshorror substitute for eldritch beings.
