Yo Radio, aren't you metagaming a tad? I'm pretty sure that IC the fact that the doom arms get stronger the less will I put into them is only known by Ronald, and half known at that. Let alone the fact that they'll go dash 9 if Ronald dies.

I edited it. Does it make more sense now? I think the notion 'can they be shut down' is general enough that it isn't meta, though if not then we can see if Steve mentions it as a problem.

Hmm, you might be right, I dunno for sure what is and isn't know about those arms. Though Miya might have access to more info due to general status, I'm not sure how much is even known in general. Nevertheless, I'll try to edit it so it makes more sense.
Steve should probably know about them requiring effort, since he has shown himself capable of noticing such things before through our implants. Though I don't know whether or not he'd care enough to notice. And you'd need to ask the right question without metagaming.

I don't wanna keep 15 people waiting while sean might be completely preoccupied and unable to show up for any amount of time.

So a gunslinger character w/ little protection can't do much against space magic, while those that invest in boring amps and manips and automanips and most importantly sensors can? Or would this work some other way?

Thats basically the thing. A real amp user would just fry people from a good distance away without being obvious. The whole "Sphere of heat in the center of mass" thing you guys like. Someone with a sensor could see it coming and dodge, someone without would be boned.

Thats the reality of Space magic used against you like you can use it against others.

Space magic is lame as all heck, anything that makes it easier to counter/less useful is good in my book.
Also, should I edit my post with a quote from where I tried to buy those enhanced mobility feet? Or have I already bought them?

A space magic detector theoretically does exist because automanipulators exist, goes the line of reasoning.

If one doesn't exist, however, then automanipulators just keep their environment at a stable set of parameters within reason, so it doesn't make a difference if you heat the Arbiter of Peace with an amp or a laser, the result will be an identical jack shit most of the time unless you manage to deplete its energy or overload its capabilities. Though how those normalizing pillars of R&D work in this case is another question. And then there's the unexplained "amp-sight" bullshit of the Amp Specialist way back when.

I kind of like the latter version of automanipulators much better, truth be told, and instead of a space magic detector it'd be cool if we could obtain something that outright fucks with it during execution of commands.
