Erm, hey guys, just got back from something, anyone know if we're sure yet if Gyromitra pay was 5+Bonus, just the bonuses listed, or undecided?

Je suis un idiot.

And also as I probably won't check very well, did anything very important happen while I was away last week?
And any fun advice on what to spend my tokens on? Hows the slave market bubble going, still time to buy into it?

Was gonna give Nyars some ground rules, yes, or think of something. Or just put my faith in the common sense of my fellow players and their characters.

... I already regret typing that.

Personally entrust the pill machine to Henk and nobody else. Observe results and take careful notes. Formulate safeguarding strategy from data acquired.

Next, give it to Xan or Auron, see what they do with it. Consider new data, refine strategy.
...If you do that, I'm having Anita lock herself in her room and not come out until the mission starts. A mission would be safer than that.

Nothing, you need extra tools for those. That's the point, if he doesn't have stuff for that, he'll need to get those, or he's almost useless.
Was that ever mentioned by piecewise? Even if it was, then that just means that whoever buys the surgical tools armoury item needs a medical kit, which should be easy to get for a medic. And that item is for medics with tokens to spare who don't want to buy a DoctorBody (assuming  it becomes an armoury item), so they should already have a kit.

Anyway, it still probably doesn't apply to the DoctorBody, since piecewise said it can perform transplants and never implied he had to buy anything else to do so. He told her to "go out there and heal people", not "go out there, get someone to buy you some tools or scrounge some tokens to buy them yourself and then heal people". So until he answers Xantalos' current post, I'll be assuming it can do anything a medic with some surgical tools and an advanced kit can.

Also (and I asked this to kri once as well), how do the limbs interface with their new owner? Anyone ever asked this to pw?
Don't you remember when Mesk installed prosthetics during the AP mission? In the case of robotic limbs, you surgically attach an electronic device that provides an interface between the patient's nerves and the robotic limb. It looks sort of like a socket. The limb is attached on that.

In the case of synthetic limbs, bones and organs however, like the ones Feyri had before she became a full robot (NOT synthflesh, synthflesh is the one thing the body doesn't work with for some reason, even though it should be interchangeable with robotic limbs), because they are made to be compatible with human biology, they simply need to be surgically attached at the proper places. Like reattaching a limb, but with future-tech.

I don't know if Vanessa has synthetic or robotic limbs, but it's probably robotic or a mixture of the two, so she can work with both humans and robots more easily, as piecewise said. And definitely some synthetic organs, since organics need those. Either way, it doesn't change much.

Hell, if we're ridiculously low on shuttles for some reason, you could send an empty shuttle, unload gunnerbots to clear the perimeter, send the second shuttle with some of the team, then let that shuttle go back to the Sword to pick up the rest.
That sounds like a bad idea. What if the shuttle gets destroyed down there or gets trapped on the ground for some reason but we really need to get down there?

Of course, it is unlikely to happen, since we should have at least three shuttles left. Unless those are the only three shuttles we have left and two of those are going to stay behind on some other solar system to be picked up by the other ARM ships that will be taking them to their missions.

But that's unlikely for Meta reasons, since if we take Lars, Flint and Miyamoto, they can't possibly fit on the same shuttle, so we must have at least two.

Oh, that's a good idea. Get enough giant robots on the team so that we need to send part of the team down on a separate shuttle. Then use a small team to deploy the gunner bots and then send the rest of the people down with another shuttle. EDIT: Although I disagree with the deployment of sods and gunner-bots in the first place, since I don't think they'll help that much. Sure, they can go ahead and trigger traps for us like some sort of living mine detector but a) that has a chance of backfiring because they might destroy something or kill someone we need that way b) they are more likely to be affected by mind control or mindfuck (if something like that is down there) and turn on us while we are focused on something else c) they'll either make the mission harder or if they don't then they probably won't really matter that much, because missions are supposed to be challenging for the players.

@Radio (sods)

I've specified that all infantry sods have sharksuits, and the fleshies should have MCP-1s, too.  Also, you should have several hundred heavy robotic body sods available (I haven't updated yet, so the pointlessly accurate number is not available), although I doubt PW would let you use them.  Also, at some point I've said to give a significant minority of the sods heavy weapons up to the PSL, so nearly the entire armory should technically be available.

I think I'd suggest just arming them with goop throwers, though.  I agree with Paris that mindfuck is likely, and sods are probably more vulnerable to that than intoxicated puppies.

Figure out what pill machine does and is, then take a small dose of what can only be a near lethal dose of growth hormones, testosterone, and steroids in the doctor's office. If I am still alive/conscious, go and insert it into some one's food to examine the results.

Hey Hapah, how did you arrange your deal with nyars? I think I'm gonna do the same for the pill machine, cause otherwise we'll never see that thing used.
Great. Now I have ideas on possible tests for that thing. Thing is, I don't want to test them on myself, for fear of the negative effects, and I don't want to test them on others, for fear of the positive effects.

Why would the second scenario bother you?

Where should Mesk's standard 8-token pay go, by the way? I might take from that to give Pan a 2-token bonus for saving the asses of everyone in that team - forgot I should have done that - and then inject the remaining 6 tokens into the rather wobbly-looking Joker fund. If I find piecewise around IRC I'll ask him, but if I'm unable to and someone else catches him there, could you please ask?

You'll have to wait and ask Radio. Definitely not yet, though.
