To be honest, you were way more likely to die if you actually managed to shoot the pilot anyway. Besides, who really needs the brain, Miyamoto or anything else on that shuttle anyway? Pretty sure the Avatar, with a bit of a shuttle boost, could probably fly to the sword by itself at this point, assuming it has some 300 m/s of delta-v in it or so. And it probably does, what with the universal manipulator Miya's got and the flying ability (I think he had that, right?).

He'd accept four tokens anyway. This seems to be on top of his normal pay, and there's no added risk. Unless the engines explode or the Haebi develop spaceflight or something.

Well, Miyamoto might do something horrible to you for disobeying his orders. They don't like insubordination, these robot overlords. Although you could just blame Flint in that event. But I don't imagine he'll be too broken up about it if he's unconscious, right? Flint's technically next in the chain of command, since Steve gives no shits about your stop on the way.

Since "complete the mission" is a given at this point (Steve would have long since interjected and/or PW would have said if there was any reason the shuttle could fail) then I think this falls under Steve's Third Commandment:

2. Complete the missions even if it kills you.
3. Other then that, Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.

I lowered it to 4 because I thought he would haggle and 6 was as much as I was prepared to offer to a single person. I'd also offer any of Xan's equipment he might want, but I don't think Xan has anything with any sort of value beyond his mind, and I need that.

Also, Hasala is technically Miyamoto's second in command. [sarcasm]Too bad he has no idea any of this is going on, thus leaving Flint as the senior officer and bearer of most of the responsibility (and blame).[/sarcasm]

Like I said, Flint is willing to pay any price necessary for doing what he thinks is right. So, as long as he gets his Xan, he'll be happy.

Gee, that sure sucks. I kinda wish that had gone different. I wish I had known more about the game mechanics before hand, and I really wish i had simply specified that Dester was to kill Henk with the pimp cane when I got it. I mean, what's the worst that could have happened? I gt shocked into submission again?

Sadly, I expected this outcome from two weeks ago, when this whole stupid situation began. And Spazyak has been nothing if not consistent in his actions this whole time.
