You're attempting to make rope out of CHEESE STRAWS. Good crafting or not, thats like trying to make armor plate out of potato chips.

Although, clearly what I should have done is have you "Succeed" and make a rope that looks good but is horribly weak and just snaps the instant you try to use it, hopefully resulting in death.

Could I perhaps create a permanent forcewall around the (previously) cleared area a meter or two high (cylinder shaped) so that the fungus can't get to us?

Aren't the new manipulators incapable of producing long term effects? That's more of an amp thing, I think.
