I mean, I'm all for people surviving but... I have to admit I would be quite interested to see a NPC ship person with a vendetta against the crew.

That might allow the target to be swarming with robots already as soon as you get there. You could ask piecewise to indicate exactly what area the sensor arrays encompass. Not sure of where you've set the entry since I can't access dropbox here at my workplace.

I think what's happening here is we're thinking in 3D, and PW is thinking in 2D.

I.E, PW is talking about the labelled sensor array on the map. He's thinking you're going to wedge yourself in there, and then drill in the same plane as the rooms.
Where as you are thinking of going out of the plane, and coming back down.

Now, I strongly suspect that the answer you're going to get here is 'Oh. There's 5 meters of crap and empty decks up there. You're not going to get through that without cutting the ship in two.'

No worries yet. Though I do admit that people randomly startig to cut into the ground isn't the best of ideas. You'd think that'd be obvious, but nope!
