@Pancaek: You might want to specify which amp you're using lest the vagueness of your action has piecewise using the microwave one.

I'm thinking he wants to use the universal amp he bought :P

Edit: Also beirus, that seems to be a very handy artifact, and I can guess why you got brainhammered trying to use it with that rock;trying to see the history of a entire world probably does that :D

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Actually, I thought I wrote "force bubble". But I didn't. Thanks.

I think it was an eldritch rock. Or possibly poop from the light ball baby EoC. I brought eldritch poop back to the ship. Who wants it?

But yeah, seems useful. Can't tell how useful unless Jason pilots Gilgamesh. Be even more awesome if it works, because I do not have the requirements to pilot a battlesuit.

Paris, please let me do it. Please please please please please. I'll check that Rainbow Cannon on Gilgamesh's arm afterwards.

Yeah, I considered the universal amp as well. Since piecewise said the "cheapest" actions are microwave amp-like, he might've gone with that if Pancaek hadn't specified a force bubble, or just spent his next turn asking for Pancaek to make it clear.

Creating the force bubble might be less mentally exhausting with the mass-manipulation amp, by the way.

I know, but since I'll have plenty of time to regain the mindpoints I want to see what doing something like this with the universal amp would do.

I thought that might have been the case. You're on Joker and I wanted to make sure nothing would go awry, but we've yet to jump so you'll certainly have enough time to recover your mindpoints.

I don't really think either of those writeups are good anyway.  They're just rushed blobs of text because you asked for them.
And it's appreciated.

Fair enough, editing wiki from phone or with unstable net is terribad.

One problem is that, if the MMI doesn't require anything, then people can again get very high end gear quickly. One way around this is saying that the MMI doesn't need anything on its own, but  piloting the assaultsuit it gets the requirement. In that case, saying the suit needs +2 aux (aka exact same like a battlesuit) makes sense. Could give it an extra +1 mind, but as people pointed out that'd be moot for most characters.

Also, now that you're here: right now council thinks that 15 tokens and +1 aux requirement makes sense for the heavy robobody. Would you (or anyone else) think that makes sense and is balanced?

As someone who wanted to test it, but has not +1 Aux, I'm a bit sad, but it actually sounds reasonable.

@Syvarris: I think first you need to determine what the MMI is going to be used for. Because yes, moving a robotic body around is not that hard. But if it would replace things like Aux rolls made for flying, then it needs an appropriate penalty. Once again, if I'm misunderstanding something, say so.

What would the aux rolls be replaced by again?

In my opinion they should not be replaced. And if they have to be replaced, then they should at least be replaced by something that provides an appropriate disadvantage. That's why I'm asking syvarris if he intends for this to replace aux rolls with dex rolls or something like that.

But no individual gets 20 tokens a mission anymore. I think nobody on M14 got 20 tokens, and that was a perfectly performed mission, too. Just give the MMI a price of its own and there you have a barrier according to its benefit.

Though to ascertain that, the question is what exactly does the MMI do, anyway? I'd imagine it makes devices connected to you an extension of the body or some such, yes? Like flying with Dex instead of Aux. And also takes up less space than a cockpit, and has quicker reaction times. Maybe lets you communicate with drones with Charisma. An Aux-replacement tool for personal items, basically. Otherwise it seems pretty pointless aside from as an assault suit prerequisite.
