Spiderbrains plus manipulators sounds like a fun combo, though possibly only aesthetically.

All in all, manipulators are starting to sound like the perfect weapon for a medic of the HMRC tradition.
Yeah, but maybe more a fleshtech or a pilot - because Aux to swap, not Med.

Does that mean that guns no longer fire multiple times per turn in comparison to amps and manips?
I'd imagine the ones that could do that still do. After all, that's the point of an automatic weapon.
Aren't basically all ARM weapons full auto for one reason or another? Like, lasers have to be full auto.

Well, gauss rifles are single-action by virtue of charging up energy for every shot (even more so with an overcharged shot). There's a reason the gauss rotary canon exists.

Now I wonder if one could carry multiple brains on their person and hot-swap (or maybe even link for increased mindpoints?) if needed. Considering the size of a human brain, if the life support systems aren't too big, then it would take two to fill a backpack-like object.

Also, I bet you could weaponize them even without the manipulator. Just hook up a speaker to a well-used one, and you have a sonic weapon.

22:00   <Radio_Controlled>: And can we carry multiple brains, and switch them out before one melts to let it rest?
22:00   <Piecewise>: Assuming you have the money and systems to keep them all alive and ready, sure
22:00   <Radio_Controlled>: And give them nicknames based on their quirks?
22:00   <Nikitian>: Also, how much of this is to be known IC?
22:01   <Doomblade>: If so, would it be med or aux roll to do that?
22:01   <Radio_Controlled>: 'Bob the brain sures loves to kill things;'
22:01   <Radio_Controlled>: "Here Bob, have a rest, let sally take over."
22:01   <Piecewise>: To switch them out? Probably aux, assuming you're not getting into their life support stuff

Expose the brains to stress and read their outputs to determine fateful information as relayed by Space God?

No, just consider that they are likely conscious (assumption, yes, but this is PW we're talking about) while being forced to do manipulator work. No sensory input, just manipulator.

Imagine the screams...

It's always a sign of a good change that the players are immediately inspired to new heights of wanton inhumanity and cruelty by it.

Interesting. Now my question.
Actually this is an important one, I think I'll PM it to PW.

They'd need special speakers of course - they'd blow out any normal ones. Especially impressed civilians, brains created (such a clinical term for the implications) for the purpose wouldn't be as powerful (in terms of sonics, probably more powerful in terms of intended use).

Are there easier ways to create a sonic cannon? Sure. But this can be... reloaded in the field, while the other ways would need batteries.

Maybe have a device to show them freedom and then cut it off to ensure louder screams?

Let them see through the user's suit cameras when used? See what they're made to do, but in pure sensory deprivation otherwise.
