So, I've been trying to come up with some tropes to describe the current clusterfuck that is Mission 15 to put on the TV Tropes page. I so far have Nice Job Breaking it Hero(for a given definition of hero, at any rate) for Xan's attempt to grow stacy a body, Gone Horribly Right for the same, and Colony Drop for the response. Anything else you guys can think of?

'Gone Horribly Right' might apply to Denzel as well, and 'Slow Walk' or something related might also apply.

I think we should mention Mesk being awesome, though- he singlehandedly saved about half the team,in effect.

Well that's to be seen, since it's not 100% certain the APC made it to minimum safe distance yet. Though, if the APC group does survive, then yeah, Mesk was pretty awesome this mission

That's the saddest part of it, really. That ship seemed like it was going to be cool to explore, but no, overshots had to have their say.

Hopefully at least other parts of the planet will suffer to an equal degree! Can't see how orbital bombardment is going to leave any glaciers unharmed.

In other news, their global defense grid people are probably very unpleasantly surprised and more than a little bewildered by the happenings soon to come.

Meh. If I survive somehow, I'll level up. Those 3 skill points will go to Exotic because I'm still aiming for +4. That'll leave me with 15, or +2 2/3. I'll be rolling 9s on my attacks at an appreciable rate, so I'll be fairly safe from threats if only because I'm a bigger danger to myself than other people could ever be.

I do hope we get to find out what was in those boxes.
