Will you be an effective GM and not drop out after a month when the burden's too much?

I've run WAOA, a giant ball of insanity, consistently for about 5 months now, plus I'm insane enough to enjoy doing it.

Wait, why is that their fault? Lerman's the one that overshot/got mind controlled/whatever. Or are you talking about approaching the dinner?
Approaching the diner and then flash banging it are the two most obvious causes of Probable ProblemsTM. Beating the already-blinded people into unconsciousness was unnecessary and probably a poor idea, but relatively benign; his original plan probably would have been worse, but didn't really show through.

Okay, I have to butt in here.
First: You ordered them to go into the diner.
Second: Four people approached the diner.  You're only punishing two of them.
Third: You're punishing Hasala (Who did nothing except approach), and Lerman, who flashbanged people, but not the guy who ran in and started beating blind people, or the other guy who approached.  Why's Hasala get targeted but not the other guy who did exactly as much as him?
Fourth: You're splitting two teams in half, and haven't supplied a fix, such as merging the split halves.

Sorry if this seems angry.  I'm surprisingly annoyed with it.  I just went reading through the last few pages of M14, especially your posts, and honestly can't see any interpretation of what you said that gives a reason for all four things.

Also, SwordSmith, why doesn't Hasala speak up?  A leader has to be commanding, and if you ask Faith about the errors, and she can't give an answer beyond "Oops" or "Shut up", that's points for you.  Especially the latter response.

First, I'm pretty sure Faith's reacting more to the level of brutality than the enteringness.
Second, I think she's punishing the perpetrators more.
Third, wait, wasn't Lerman the one who was beating people up?

Nah, Konrad was the guy clubbing people like some sort of overeager police officer.

I flashbanged everyone due to shitty intelligence and willpower rolls. Now I get to sit in the truck.

@Kedly: I thought that was Elisaz, not Jim who was being 'excited' at the end of Mission 2. Oh, wait, you're referring to when I was trolling Piecewise. XD I remember that now.

I'm still at the events on the ship before mission 2, when Feyri licked Jim's robot face and Jim just froze

Jim x Feyri was the best sparring match ever due to that event. Talking of which, I miss the degree of characterization (or comedy) that went into those spars and it seems the newbies aren't too interested in them. If I remember correctly, the last ones to spar were... May and Lukas?

I'm actually interested in doing a few rounds, I just haven't had time to.

Wrestling is hardly a fair contest if your opponent can spontaneously grow more limbs than you have hair.

Yeah, but I kinda wanna get better at physical fighting, otherwise for all my shapeshifting I'll be shit at it (hello 0 Dex 0 strength). Sure, if it's for real I'll cheat, but learning how to straight slug it out is important too.
Though some sparring partners will no doubt be sent to the Doc once I get better at it.

First: You ordered them to go into the diner.
Yes.

Second: Four people approached the diner.  You're only punishing two of them.
Yes.

Third: You're punishing Hasala (Who did nothing except approach), and Lerman, who flashbanged people, but not the guy who ran in and started beating blind people, or the other guy who approached.  Why's Hasala get targeted but not the other guy who did exactly as much as him?
No.

Hasala brazenly approached with what appeared to be a flamethrower, panicking the inhabitants. Lerman flashbanged the inhabitants, daze-trapping some of them inside and further panicking the rest. Konrad beat already-dazed people into unconsciousness, panicking no one.

Hasala made it considerably more likely the cops are going to come. Lerman made it considerably more likely the cops are going to come. Konrad... punched some people for no reason.

It might also be worth noting that I'm not "punishing" them, per se. I'm telling them that they're in charge of that aspect now. It's closer to "you break it, you fix it" than "no, bad dog, you get the newspaper."

Fourth: You're splitting two teams in half, and haven't supplied a fix, such as merging the split halves.
This might be true, but the teams aren't necessarily split in the first place. If both team members guard the APC, or Hasala and/or Lerman figure they can come back out and deal with the cops by the time they become a problem, the teams could still be intact. It also has a fairly obvious fix, so presumably if both perpetrators but not their teammates sit in the truck, the others can glom together of their own accord. If they need some kind of formal order to that effect, I'll probably give it if and when it's confirmed to be viable and becomes an issue.

Well, you don't have to. You just have to make sure we don't get blindsided by the police or else a tall synthwoman might be rather cross with you.
