Come to think of it, would everyone know what a vuvuzela sounds like?  Or does the ship's crew think they're being attacked by a swarm of demonic bees?
I've got a vague idea, OOC.
IC? "What the heck--Why is there--What is--I give up."

Everyone already knows the story of noah, so only devout and often fanatical christians go to see it. And when it doesn't live up to their particular, very specific idea of what it should depict, they throw a hissy fit, for lack of a better term.
Brilliant business decision!

Not to mention Noah, at one point, actually recounts the story of creation, 7 days and all, but it's set to visuals that show the big bang, evolution, the scientific theory for planets and stars condensing from gas and dust in space, hell, even the fact that the moon was created by a massive impact in earth's early history.
Sounds better every sentence.

METHUSELAH IS PLAYED BY THE SAME ACTOR WHO DID HANNIBAL LECHTER AND IS DEPICTED AS A BEING ABOVE HUMAN WITH STRANGE AND ALMOST FRIGHTENING POWERS!
Okay, that's weird.

Really, they need to do this shit more often. Abrahamic religions have some really neat shit in them, especially in the apocrypha and various cut texts. I want a movie that portrays angels as the bizarre, ineffable, engines of divine might that they are. Ever seen a motherfucking Throne angel?
Indeed. It's like they only have one or two pictures of that thing...
It would be nice if people knew why angels always told people not to be afraid.

Really? I've seen at least a few that didn't criticize it. By which I mean the review was overall very positive, not that they didn't find any fault with the movie.
I haven't exactly been searching for reviews on the movie.

By the way, pw, is there a reason you've been skipping the on ship thread?

Quote
They did do that horrible thing in movies where the good guys are vegetarians and the bad ones are meat eaters, but they sort of subvert that by showing noah as being a bit TOO obsessed with animals and how humans are evil.
Weird movie, but not a bad one.
Wait, that's a thing? Huh, don't think I've encountered that before.

Though obviously, meat is eeeevil!

That may be less due to cliches and more due to that vegetarianism is brought up in the bible several times, Daniel probably being the most prolific.

Team H, Starfleet Archeological Division - Anton Chernozorov

>They have a process of dealing with stuff like this, but it's really not made for this large of an uprising. In general their response is just to throw troops at the problem till it stops being a problem. They're not very smart in that way, but you can't really blame them, it's served them well till now.

There were a few early rebellions that had ships of some power, but not for a while Red Moon was all ground based.

"Heh, so I figured. I guess it's easy to fall out of practice with the crushing, when rebellions are few and far between. Well, here's to hoping that we'll be the ones writing the history books on this one.

Kinda makes me wonder though, how did the Red Moon Rebellion become so successful if it never, well - got off the ground? Did they start on some well-defended world that couldn't just be bombed into submission? Or is it just a question of perspective, more indicative of the success of other rebellions, that even the largest one couldn't go beyond a single planet?
"

Keep an eye on Steve, keep talking to the sensors.
I have the feeling that this is more like the time the Xeeleeverse ICG threw a planet into a nearby gas giant because they expressed rebellious tendencies.

Someone asked about the Red moon rebellion before. They basically squashed the rebs, arrested the entire planet's population, then shipped in a new batch of workers from off planet. Because manpower is easy to replace. Planets are not.

Indeed. There's a reason he often plays omnicidal people.

List 5, not counting minimalist RTDs because those aren't characters.

Which is still a hell of a lot more than anyone else.
And you also go omnicidal more often when playing minimalist games than most people.

No seriously, list 5 omnicidal characters I've played in nonminimalist RTDs or forum games in the past couple of months. I challenge you.
