It depends on how it is initialized.  I believe it sampled him when it first activated, so one might assume it is configured to rebuild you at the genetic level at that time.  It'd probably reject you out of hand with an "unknown input type" sort of error.  Failing that, I would assume it'd either try to revert you to a pile of undifferentiated flesh or whatever form you were in at the time of activation.

He hurts people, including injured people, including up until recently injured people he's trying to heal, and he automatically heals himself. And he is still nominally a medic.

Probably wouldn't work that way for you, and it'd probably limit your shapeshifting (if not tear you to bits or excise your amp core, since biological amp cores do not really belong in one's body) as well as make you hungry all the time (besides, even if it worked, you'd still need to eat corpses, except you'd need to do so constantly rather than electively). Pretty useless for you to have something like that, all in all.

That does give me an idea, though. Since Xan is a living dominator amp, I wonder if the Doctor put any safeguards on his core like an anti-tampering explosive? Because if he didn't, we might be able to learn some things if we dissected the thing. And if he did, we had best be careful about stabbing him in the fleshwarping core.

I'm not sure Stacy knows what Xan is IC (and if he has heard about the guy's transformation, he's probably forgotten who Xan is by now), or if I can justify him caring all that much, or if I myself care that much OOC either. I can't say I can imagine him being anything other than a more directly controlled amp, since his powers make very little sense otherwise, especially since they use Will (considering that willpower is basically one's ability to communicate with an amp and make one's thoughts clear).
