I'm not sure. Between the flexibility of space magic and the overloads...
Nothing will really model the flexibility of amps or the myriad possible overloads till you can basically simulate reality. You'll always be limited as to what you could do with it (in any game engine), compared to the limitless possibilities in a text-based thing.

So for say, a micro manip, one could heat/cool tiles, objects or mobs/players (dealing damage to the last). You need a bunch of options and stuff (like to switch between heating and cooling) but it should be possible to emulate the things said amp is mostly used for. A vector manip would be like telekinesis (yes, you could do things with the vector manip you can't do with the telekinesis power in SS13, but unless you want a very unwieldly game you'll always lose some options or possible uses).

@toaster: glad to see you aren't afraid to crunch some numbers. Now I know who to find next time I need to divide budgets :P

@actor stuff: some cool suggestions from TCM. But since Hamil's acting career kinda bombed after he did Skywalker, I'm not sure how he'd hold up. As a voice actor though, he's THE SHIT. Best Joker ever. Maybe he could then voice one of the robopeople?

Mark Hamil as Pancaek, anyone?

@Paris: Wearing another person's space suit in ER can very unhygienic unless the new model has changed from the old Mk ways of handling bodily waste.

True.
Still, it isn't really ER space magic if there isn't a chance of it screwing everyone over.

Yes, I thought about that myself. But I try not to write about those things. Because of the mental image. Especially considering Flint is an old man.

Besides, if I get any space STDs, I'm somehow certain the infirmary will not only be able to treat it but has actually treated similar things several times before.

EDIT: Plus, spaceships are usually sterile environments and people stay in them for several months or even years. I'm certain that if they had anything dangerous, it would had either killed them or their docs would have cured them.
Unless they somehow got infected by some alien.

Random bit of trivia cause its late and I haven't fallen asleep yet. Did anybody know that there was a Saint Jude Thaddeus, and that he is the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes? I might of picked my characters name a little too well.

Explain?
On the note of my viewpoint: I forgot how-oh.

Wait redact that. Yeah.

I wonder if PW said anything about a microbe sterilization system in-ship. Because we've come in contact with tons of atmospheres and very few people who write take in the notice of microscopic organisms. :v

Well I'd doubt that you didn't see the OP and get the theme. :P

First of all, your character will start out on the ship: Paracelsus Sword. Naked. Don't worry about the latter portion--every newbie to the ship is transported via a fluid vat to keep them alive given the general notion regarding space travel, and everyone has seen each other naked that it isn't any deal to speak of, as is assumed.
Said opinion is about to change given that you're arriving in the Revolution--when everyone gets annoyed with the UWM (the governance of the...galaxy?) for their bad stuffs and we're basically rebels now.

Important Peoples (sans players)
Said ship has a Governing AI: Steve. He speaks in the Lime Green Color and is very prone to snark. He's also a pretty nice person at times, and is a good conversationalist over chess. Probably Piecewise's personality predominantly showing. :P
He is in charge of giving missions and coordinating quite everyone available.

See the Armory? It's basically a kiosk, with the whole room enclosed--the only opening to the outside that we can mostly see is a horizontal slit. The person manning it is the Armory Master. She dislikes misogyny or people being complete idiots.

And...well, see the links below for a quick overview. The Doctor (capitalized due to it being a Proper noun...like the AM, we do not know their names--asking them their names didn't work), by the way, is presumed to be non-human...and his methods of medicine (while wholly unconventional), work.
Just beware the price.

Some links to help:
Basic introductory knowledge.
The Official New Player Guide! (ADVISED TO READ BEFORE ANYTHING)
The NPCs, hostile and friendly -- most of the hostile list is currently detailed only from the 11th(?) mission--the assault of Hephaestus. The Friendly NPCs are the PW-protagonists of the ship, mentioned above.

...
Caellath: Didn't you ask the AM her name once before?

Lars did!

Lars nods.

"Thank you, ma'am."  He thinks for a second.  "My name is Brother Lars.  May I ask your name?  I've only heard you referred to as the Armory Master, and going by titles seems a bit stiff and formal."

Say above.
"When you survive 10 missions, I'll tell you my name as a going away present." The armory master says, flipping to another page.

*Munchkin senses are tingling*

I'm not Tiruin, but I'll say things anyways.

Your stats are somewhat inefficient.  You only gain benefits at 3 and every multiple of five.  So having a 2 in a stat is no different from a zero, and a seven is no different from a five.  You might like it that way for RP, but I wanted to mention it.

Another wiki page that would be good to read is the Paracelsus' Sword page, if you don't know what the ship's like.

If any of those pages are hard to understand or have holes in their information, please inform us!  Feedback is always useful.

@Tiruin
He did, and she said she'd tell him once he completed ten missions.

@ Tiruin: thanks for referring to the new player page on the wiki, I hope that saved you some explaining. It's nice to know it actually serves a purpose.

Yeah, we should add this to the newbie page, it seems some people don't notice it. You seem to explain it well, want to add it yourself, or should I?

This X100! The more flaws you can point out, the better we can make the wiki. So by all means, tell us why we're incompetent and where the proof of that can be found  :P

I always have this nagging suspicion that the thing on 'I'll tell you after 10 missions' are either a set-up by Steve and co. or we're actually serving under really brilliant evil masterminds.

Because hey, identities and psychology. :3

Well, given that a long ways back, the 10 missions to freedom setup was a setup, and inmates were just supposed to supplement Steve's wetware, even though he says he doesn't do that (as much?) at this point in time, there are still reasons to doubt it being entirely true.

Sorry for the really late reply, I've been pretty busy today.  I did the edit, on both "New Player Guide" and "Stats and Skills", along with some minor stuff (Stats and skills implied that intelligence was used for manips beyond simply being required to use them, for example).

Gah, this reminded me that I actually enjoy messing with the wiki.  We should make a "Requests" page or something beyond the current "Wanted Pages" page, just so I have suggestions on things to do.

Question for RC: Are you okay with me making relatively small pages that would probably only be linked from one place, like "Battle of Hexbarax (VR Program)"?  Because not wanting to make stub/clutter pages is probably my biggest reason that I haven't edited much.
