In theory, we should be able to mass produce those soon...

Push the buttons! One at a time, preferably. While still and while flying! Should the rocket armchair perish as a result, spawn in another one! Experiment until I have found out the secret abilities of this device!
It is possible to kill yourself in reality by crashing a lot in VR?

((Figured as much.  Oh well, one of my long-term plans is to make a command & control network that connects everyone's systems, so it won't be a problem forever.
No longer will we face the scourge of not having mischievous or insane teammates trying to hack into our bodies and armor! Or worse, not leaving a path open for enemies to do much the same with!

YES. NOW WE MUST HAVE ALL THE THREADS!
I'm just gonna create threads for each mission, basically.
If someone collected all the posts for old missions, would you make new threads for each old mission?

Hehehe.  Looks like you figured out exactly why Saint wants to make it himself.

Although, really, it is useful.  First, access to other people's suits will be very restricted.  I.E, only the commander can actually link two people up.  And only the commander has privileges to mess with other's suits.  Second, the commander gets a heck of a lot more info- he'd be automatically notified when enemy contact is made, bio sensors would warn of traiters, and a HUD for everyone wouldn't be hard to set up.  AND he could lock down mindf**ked teammates without needing contact with Steve.

As far as hacking, Saint will be putting a lot of AUX:5's into getting the security of the thing up to snuff.  He'll be able to hack it, but that's because he designed the thing line by line.  Besides, the UWM uses a com system to control sods, and if that's hacked into their sods are basically stolen.  But they still use it, so obviously they haven't had trouble with security.

You will face opposition by anyone savvy, suspicious or paranoid enough, though.

Word of warning: Jim finds out you're doing that, he WILL hurt you. He doesn't like the idea of anyone being able to fuck around with his body against his will, and the last guy who tried hacking teammates got impaled through the stomach. As a warning. :p IC posts later, busy right now, just wanted to get that out there in case everyone else forgot to mention it.

And then the enemy mindhacks said commander. And then the entire team locks up.
TPK.

@Radio
Yes, It does assume a commander who isn't vulnerable to mindhacking.  Namely, any of our generals, who all have either 15+ will or an Avatar.

And I was considering methods to prevent stuff like that.  For one, there's probably very few cases where a commander would need to lock more than two, maaybe three people.  And in those rare cases, you're probably screwed anyways.

Further, how much risk is there even if the commander is vulnerable?  We've had lots of instances of mindhacking.  How many of those would have been worse with something like this, and how many would be better?

@Putnam
I could have sworn there's an unsubscribe option... I don't know where it is though.  Quick check shows it's "unnotify", one of the tabs to the lower right.  Next to "reply".

I watch as Morul slips and falls, then Look around and plot out how to climb down there and back up again safely.

Well, since we'll be aiming to capturing their ships, I'm not sure if we want to invest in ways of destroying them. Though I can certainly see the logic behind weakening the enemy first, if that was truly necessary for winning this I think Steve would take care of it, at least partially. And instead of magnetic, maybe just disguising them as debris but giving them a range sensor and some cheap engines could be used for actually hitting the damn things.

Well, Miya got mindhacked for 1 turn in the previous mission, almost killed Bishop because of it. But a quick intervention by Steve and some mind-purging (by letting a specter of pure destruction scream through his head) prevented further damage. And then we just burned them all (woo namite).

Agreed, its not like we cant make a new one.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Can't you turn off notifications for particular threads? Also, Putnam posted after this had become the OOC thread.

You can turn off notifications but you cant stop it appearing in unread replies and there are other non ER players here who may not appreciate having it constantly popping up.
