Well, we'll be able to send sods almost whenever. I think our only available, undamaged, spaceworthy, FTL-capable ship right now is The Merchant, but it should suffice for a supply run. Plus it's already meant to carry lots of cargo, so no special fiddling necessary.
...Y'know, I was completely unaware we had any transport ships at all. Could you please either edit the Heph page to list the ships we do have, or at least tell me so that I can do it?
Actually, 'the pisser' is probably one of the most inspiring names for a rifle I've heard yet. Beats shitty mythological theme naming any day of the week!
Oh, you misunderstand- I'm not saying that it's a uninspiring name; I'm saying that it could lead to confusion on the battlefield. "Shoot him with your pisser!" might be misinterpreted by our more ape-like operatives, leading to them being quite ineffective.
Same reason why it says not to aim the gun at allies, right on the barrel.
Hey piecewise: how big does an automanipulator need to be in order to be self sustaining?
If he answers this, I love you.
The PSAR is like an assault rifle version of the Testament, right? Not sure if it was something else since I don't read Tinker too often, but you could call it the TSAR- Testament Style Assault Rifle.
-.-
The PSAR isn't anything. It's the name Sean came up with for the
SS Testament
LSW. Presumably, it stands for "Piezoelectric Shard Assault Rifle", which is technically incorrect- the Testament is intended to be an LSW. [/gunnut]
As soon as my new computer is set up and ready to go (so that I can actually do a proper wall-of-text post), I'm going to start administrating more, for sure. Been planning on doing so for a little while now, actually. Hopefully, there will be focus, and a lot of it. I'm kinda regretting not taking a stronger hand first, but it is in-character not to have - Simus has only ever headed small teams that had their goals laid out for them, but less so methodology.
I find your use of "stronger hand" ironic. Saint entered this with the assumption that you'd be an iron handed dictator (he has...
issues with authority), and has been slowly testing how much he can ignore Simus. Another ironic thing is that Simus
is controlling a small group- there's what, three players under her?
But yes, this is good. Especially if it means we will, as a group, actually coordinate.
My and Pyro's ideas on an entry-level suit are somewhat cross-compatible. The basic idea is a "Mk1+" plugsuit with improved survivability and less bulk. The MACS is that plus exoskeleton, and armor and mission packs purchased together as upgrades of the same system - the plugsuit can probably be made separate from the MACS system as a whole, so that it retains compatibility with other exosystems.
I wrote down the idea, probably gotten from you, to put a bunch of hardpoints over my basic suit design. Primarily for stuff like jetpacks and more powerful generator backpacks, but it'd generally allow a lot of flexibility in addon equipment.
Although, to be honest I dislike the idea of the MACS, if I remember it correctly. The idea of buying a basic suit, and then having to buy addons for it, seems horrifically inefficient in terms of token cost- which
will exist, due to how the game works. Whenever you have to buy stuff in parts, it gets more expensive; I prefer a single suit, which is just very flexible in it's role.
((Also, ARG, use the enter key when formatting your post! You just type right on top of the [/quote] tag, which makes snipping quotes annoying.))On the topic of supply shipments, I for one welcome our new PSL-style weaponry overlords.
Considering I'm the only one who has messed with the PSL... thank you, and I agree.
One question to the Hephaestus people: Why aren't you producing anything? It's not like it would cost you anything.
I haven't, because Pyro has said, or at least implied, that we shouldn't produce anything until we get Simus' approval. Also because I don't want to produce things before I've finished them.
Other stuff, like exponentially growing facilities, building ships, or colonizing stuff is pretty much because I consider it out of my purview/not my job.
