I was gonna ask why wouldn't there be a tank in an urban area, but this answers both questions nicely.

Actually, I'm trying to see if I can cultivate it somehow first. Make more, you know.

Besides, I don't know if it's a plant. In fact, the way it moves is more like what you'd expect a sedentary animal to move like - might be some kind of alien coral. It seems to have survived fine in absolute darkness within a science capsule for an indeterminate period of time, so it either has some peculiar adaptations for a plant or its food source is something other than photosynthesis.

You wouldn't gain anything relevant to the argument itself, but you would gain some power over me for use in the future, because I would like you slightly more.  A sycophant has influence over the narcissist that he follows.

I don't logically think you're trying to manipulate me, it's just my natural assumption.  I tend to assume the worst in people.
