I'm pretty sure interviews said that it's supposed to be a third-person action game (descriptive!), but I'm fine with whatever mad stuff Koji shits out, because the man's a national treasure.

There's that stuff about the gameplay being (metaphorically?) about ropes as well as sticks, but what with all the things tied together in the entrance, I've got no idea how literal that is.

Cyberpunk type worlds would be perfectly fine in ER universe, right? At least back when it actually existed. UWM wouldn't have problems with such planet?

No reason why not. A lot of worlds are in a state of collapse generally, so a society might well have access to some high-level technologies while not being technologically advanced itself.

Nah. And if all else fails you can say it takes place pre-altered wars. Or during/post on a world thats been cut off from the UWM. The thing about the ER universe is that lots of very varied worlds exist in it, so you can have almost anything you want.

I got some sort of weird thing going on here sometimes where the forum doesn't seem to recognize my inputs. It says the message field is empty despite it being full.

This happened to me too while editing a post. I think the forum didn't like my combination of spoilers, images and lists, so I had to cut that part out. The strange thing is that I didn't change anything in that part of the post, so something must have changed in how the forum handles these things.
