Sorry, I been busy being a depressed hermit trying to write a thing. Waiting for the inspiration train to hit me in the face, as it were.

Also I'm shit at play testing because I get way too invested in characters to actually do anything useful with them at times so imma just wait until the new thing is done and I can invent a new character to start getting overly obsessed with again.

By the way, where did our other people go? Radio, Cael, Pancake, UP, Toaster, etc. They seem to have gotten really quiet ever since we started doing this Redux stuff.

I guess I haven't updated the other threads...

I lost track of the playtests and haven't kept up with the thread Redux mission due to a desire to keep the sequence intact. I'll get to it in a bit, but I don't think I'll play in it for the time being.

As for missions, would be neat to get that epilogue. And some mission updates. Team Branching Fuckery's exploits were pretty enjoyable while they lasted.

So, since today was the last day of the free windows 10 upgrades I decided I should install that thing. Just to get the digital license key, mind. It took the goddamn installer thing 9 hours to put Windows 10 on my pc. I was expecting 3-4 hours, but whatever I guess. It probably had to do with all the neat animations and shit they put in during the installation process.

So once it was installed I let it boot up and it looked okay enough. Only most "advanced" options (like adjusting my screen resolution) were buried one or two windows deeper than they used to and it has ads for some shitty mobile money sink game on my start window. Absolutely disgusting. So I checked to see if I had the digital license key, saw I did, and immediatly clicked the option to restore win7. Cue about 6 windows or so popping up.

"I'd like to put win7 back."
"Are you sure? Why don't we try looking for more updates, they might fix the issues you have with windows 10!"
"No thanks, I'm sure."
"Allright, we'll put win7 back. Are you sure though?"
"Yes, I am."
"Well okidoki. Why don't you tell us why you want win7 back? Just click the appropriate checkboxes and write half an essay in the little box."
"Okay, fine."
"Thanks. Now, are you sure you want to continue?"
"Yes, I am"
"Okay, just to clarify, if something fucks up you may need to reinstall some programs. Maybe it's better to just stay with windows10, what do you say buddy old pal?"
"No, fuck, give me back win7."
"Humpf, fine, have it your way!"

Cue a simple black screen that just states something like "reinstalling windows 7, don't turn off your pc". I was ready to leave it on for another few hours. But lo and behold, after going downstairs for a drink and talking to my dad for maybe 20-30 minutes I came back to have win7 running just like it did this morning.

So yeah, /rant I guess. I don't rally get how it could revert back that quickly when installing it took 9 hours, but I'm glad it did. At least I have the license now, so I don't have to fork over 120 euro to MS if it turns out I'll need it in a year or so.

I have decided to skip free Win 10 update. Mostly because my OS disk doesn't have enough free space for it.

I wish that game was more mount and blade style than RTS. I'm a big fan of single player giant battle games.

I really liked Mount and Blade: Warband. It gets better with mods for massive battles.

And I haven't been posting because without updates for the mission thread, I don't get motivated to check the rest of the board.

You eject the magazine from your handgun and rack the slide back. The round in the chamber seems to have been poorly made; the metal housing around the actual bullet has blown out, letting the gas expand without actually propelling the bullet.

That is not how guns work.  If the cartridge burst without propelling the bullet down the barrel, the breech should have been damaged, rendering the gun useless.  It is literally impossible for the gas to escape down the barrel without propelling the bullet, which seems to be what you're saying.

What I mean is that you know how the bullet is wedged in a metal casing? well the casing right around where the bullet is was weaker, causing it to blow out rather than the bullet to move forward. So the gas got propelled forward and escaped but just wedged the bullet down against the barrel instead of pushing it forward.

Not sure if that checks out physics wise but oh well.

Physics wise due to the expolosive force and the texture of the bullet the gun would jam and the bullet would leave the barrel and plop to the groun.  To have the bullet still like that in the casing would send it outwards and destroy the gun.
