Don't know so much about the first bit. If it works out it'll be great. But when have things worked out before for us, really. 

I think splitting up won't be such a bad idea though. Even if afterwards it turns out we should have stuck together, we can get back together fairly quickly with the portals anyway, right?

Also, I just realized something. I was thinking about who had the skills to use the medical battlesuit and nobody living and active came to mind. Vanessa was the last medic. There are no competent medics left.

Oh I'm taking my Vanessa body with me too, just not inhabiting it for the time being.

I realise that this forum is hosted on the dwarf fortress subforums, so this may create a facepalm moment for some of you... But did you guys realise that there is now a mod that runs dwarf fortress in 3d? This is it running adventure mode

This blows my mind... although I'm still likely to run it with vanilla or stonesense

Hey corsair, are you sure you can take away 5 points from a stat you have 0 points in to give you negative points and a negative level? I thought that you could only have negative skill levels from char gen. Anyone else knows if this is possible?

It sure sounds possible, but you would have to ask PW to be sure.
Otherwise, how would a 0-mission noob be able to sustain brain damage?

Why it wouldn't be possible? It simply means you end up in worse state than you arrived in. We lose stat points all the time^* here. Templates at least are totally fine with negative numbers.

Dunno, but I think there's a difference between taking away points you had gotten from a level up and allocated somewhere, or taking away points that were never there. And because, if one can choose where to remove the points, it kinda lowers the impact from 'loosing' a level up since you can just (further) lower a dump stat.
