Would it be possible to get another grenadier named Thaddeus? The only skills I request are suppression and holo targeting. That way s/he's somewhat useful

So Sy here, his posty has him doing something important. He blows up the testing rooms. Which is a bit overkill but hey, claps for him because he figured out the trick. The Lurker uses people as conduits to summon itself in. Kill the conduit, cancel the summoning.  And so this apocalypse was canceled.
So, I guess the moral of the story is that teamkilling solves everything. Even an impending apocalypse.
I thought the moral of the story was "There's no kill like overkill"?

Assuming the Lurker's influence on the Origin is growing, it may become capable of using large concentrations of Synthflesh as a conduit to summon itself.

Question is if it's worth it. Because right now, it's the only thing keeping the Eater of Stars at bay and we're still not sure if banishing it will even restore space magic stability fully since the state of the Origin is currently unknown.

We don't know the state of Origin, though the fact that the Lurker has invaded Origin derived materials is a bad sign. We know that the use of Amps and Manips on a large scale has become impossible. And We know that the Lurker will continue to subsume this galaxy and no doubt others.


Well, it's hard to tell. Seeing as our original plan was to create a supersized ghostship and pray that it can wish away the Eater of Stars with sheer amp power. But there's no telling if it's still viable now seeing as we've halted trafficking operations and are using the kidnapped as colonists instead, along with the possible lingering Origin Tech instability. The Lurker is probably powerful enough to kill them all given enough time, seeing as it's practically a god in it's own right rather than a flawed demigod, but seeing as it is in its nature to spread, by the time it wins it may be too hazardous to kill Morul. Or it might have even just started using the people in the region consumed by it as conduits as well. Or maybe have gained enough control over Origin if it's currently assimilating it (which it may or may not be) to just use the Eater of Stars as a conduit.

Right now, running seems like the best option. I mean, and this is OOC knowledge only, but seeing as the Lurker would win in a fight against Timmy and our most cutting research revolves around Timmy, standing and fighting doesn't really seem too much like an option. Besides, the universe was destabilizing already (which was known IC), so it's not like finding a way to kill or banish them both would make everything better again.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.
