That's what Nikitian wagered it for, so i'm guessing yes. Make your level up like swordsmith04 and I did if it turns out that limbo time doesn't count as a mission. Easier to undo.

It could be that their thoughts and perceptions themselves are infected and destroying reality. Maybe the only way to stop the degradation is to kill yourself or otherwise stop your neurons from working. Maybe by seeing the probe their consciousness got infected with a pattern that harms reality they perceive and the only way out is a memory wipe. Maybe with a backup so we can make reality destroying lasers later.
