I know tactical genius okay it's more that she has never really used one for combat and has no idea the full capabilities of it.

actually it's possible its...just really really stupid to try it which means Abigail's gonna try and do it you know volcano planet volcanic eruptions you think of as powerful that to be honest is something abigail would have tried first battle turn.

Yeah, firstly they're on a ship, not a planet with any form of volcanic activity. Secondly, she'd have to melt the floor which if memory serves has a rather high melting point and somehow launch it upwards. I suppose she could use some sort of explosion underneath it launch it upwards, but that would probably require vaporizing part of the floor. I mean, there have been amp-triggered explosions, but most of those are from heating air and making it expand. Not heating metal.
