I'd like a spot.  Can I play an awakened cat?  Always wanted to do that in D&D.  If not, can I play a zombie skeletal pixie wizard, for maximum minmax?  Or a doppelganger or something?

both are viable, though "Lich King" would be a prestige class. Well, undead spellcaster would be a prestige class, Lich would be a developed character, and Lich King would be a sort of end goal worthy of Xan.

Undead can have access to some magics though. I won't limit it to meatshields and skeleton archers.
Neat. Now to decide between construct spellcaster and undead spellcaster.

A spot is reserved, Mr. In Boots.

I Gm'd a D&D game this spring where a player wanted to be an awakened mouse. I called him Reepicheep and he was all like "how did you know that 's where I was going with that?" So yes, In Boots, that'll do.

the Clockwork Alchemist has a nice ring to it. A zombie shaman would be ... something.

No one has suggested a Troll medic yet. I can't say it will be an effective class, but it will certainly be entertaining.

Feegles? I can't do the accent very well (which often isn't easy to read anyway), but I can do a more understandable version.

I am leaning more towards clockwork. Not sure about the alchemist part though. What would an alchemist even be able to do?

As I mentioned in my PM, I'm not quite sure what to do right now but I'm leaning spiderish I think.

I tend not to take creatures from others' work, because I don't play them the way they are in that setting. That said, as Feagles are Piictlike Leprechauns, I don't see a real problem, as long as there's no "but Pratchet said ..." or "Feagles can do x, so I'm doing x" becasue that's pratchett and this is ... something else :P

[/quote]Alchemy is a challenging magic to work with. it involves changing material substances through combinations, some astrology, and whatever else. Alchemic magic is more a long term buff type thing, the search for the Elixer, testing how to use the strange goops and glowy things .. that kinda thing. A person with an affinity for alchemy will know basic combinations and can figure out the essence of a magical artifact's power to some extent.

I listed magics in part because of my interest in variations on the theme, and in part to see what people tried :P

As I mentioned in my PM, I'm not quite sure what to do right now but I'm leaning spiderish I think.
There aren't too many spiderlike fantasy creatures except the Driders from D&D and those monsters from HP and LOTR. be quite a challenge to make a PC version. Any chitinous creature would be a challenge.

I'll post a provisional first post tonight, and edit as we work things out.

Oh, I'll explicitly reserve a spot if I could then. I'll be at work today so I won't have much time to build a character, but the inherent frustration and contempt I accrue from being there should help me come up with something.

Dunno if I can get time to post today. I'll see later, but for right now, too busy.

Saw starwars yesterday. It was pretty good. I'd recommend it.

Yes, please consider me in.

Please (V) tick or (X) cross the permissible Pratchett characteristics :
- 15cm high,
- human strength,
- 10x human speed,
- highly resilient to impact - stepping on them only makes them angry(er), can survive falling off a bird (knickers parachutes are still nice),
- can eat and drink (mainly drink) several times its own volume,
- not very smart, and often quite dumb,
- bards (gonnagles) are more intelligent, and can weaponize poetry and bagmousepipes for mindfuck effects,
- can move between dimensions,
- queens (keldas) are very intelligent and can use magic, mainly healing, mind-altering, and access to genetic memories (I'm not making one, it's just for possible RP with an NPC).
