As for the grey goo: it's already weaponized. All we gotta do is establish a different return location.

And someone should explore that pink goo universe too. For all we know, we teleported into a really bad spot, like the Candy Land sewers or something. Of course, the probe was coated in and containing the slime, so likely it is everywhere - part of the makeup of the universe.

i was gonna wait and bring things up after i got back on ship and had the capacity to actually spend tokens, but now that your giving away 4 tokens instead of just 1 or 2 ill just claim credit for the weevil gun and the mobility braincase system.
The termite control rifle i couldnt care less about, but i blatantly refuse to let radio be the only one getting paid for the weevil gun with all the bitching i did trying to get nikitian to research the damn thing.

Glowworm gun we can create, but it's gonna be a con/exo combination weapon.

i did inquire as to its worthiness for prototyping back in 2013 after all.

I designed that in 2015 when it actually got accepted. But if you can quote or link to where you designed it then maybe Piecewise will credit you.

After all theyd only be four legs and an arm or two so that once your robot body is too damaged to function you just crack open the chest then you can grab your gun and scurry off once yoy pop out, the only downside is they would have to be pretty weak stat wise in order to keep them cheap enough to be feasible.

The lag you speak of would be entirely based on the processing speed of the control system, distance was never a factor.

partial guide to making an escape pod.

acquire complementary free robot body to replace your aging meat sack.
remove fingertip camera and connected cables then attach camera directly to brain case in desired location, reattach shortened optical cabling and perform diagnostics to confirm functionality.
buy, construct or salvage 3-6 hydraulic or mechanical devices capable of being re-purposed to serve as legs and if necessary arms.
find a competent mechanic to attach pseudo-limbs to your brain case and install the necessary wiring using leftover cabling from step 2
have a "qualified" mechanic alter your free robot body to accommodate the new limbs and allow the chest cavity to be opened from within.
