Hey pw, if these people test things, is it possible for them to cause damage to their environment, or will bad effects be limited to themselves?

Cause while I don't wanna deny people who are a bit bored on our mission the possibility to get something else to do, I don't really feel comfortable with it if it could jeopardize our mission/other characters this way (just like how regular artifact testing while in a spaceship hurtling through hostile territory would get opposed pretty fervently by Miya).

It's always a good idea to have TV remote fighting plans, but unfortunately I think most characters are assumed to be wearing their suit while on the ship.

Hmm.  I'm not sure how well the suits manage against shockwaves...  nor whether you'd have to have just the right air-fuel ratio to get an explosion...  but if I were you I'd look into homemade frag grenades of some sort.  Shrapnel seems to be pretty effective.

Xeno spit doesn't burn or explode because there's no actual alcohol in there. I tried to make molotovs out of it once. But if you heat it enough it will expand and the pressure will cause the bottle to explode sending xeno-spit covered glass shrapnel everywhere.
