Well, there is also the fleshknitter, which is even better than medifoam, except expensive! (It never got the "mass production discount", so the armory lists the initial "prototype" cost... I guess I should look into it one of these lives.)
As for organo-manipulators - yes, they exist (I've asked Piecewise because I had the exact same idea
), and moreover the requirements are based on Med, not Cha (Cha probably goes for 'instinctual understanding of chemistry and biology', where manips are full-conscious in that regard). However, now with the trouble of using manipulators&s, it limits you to just a few 'spells' (in case of organo-manips used for medicine, 'operations' - but then again, how many serious operations would you expect in a typical mission? Anything else a can of medi-foam can cover). So now amps are more of a side-arm - extremely powerful, but not "the final answer" to every problem.
Mono-sword doesn't nearly rely on user's strength as usual melee weapons do (it 'cuts into' without effort because of 'monoatomic' edge, the effort is to 'push apart' the cut halves as the swing of the blade continues) - but it does rely on it a little bit (unlike, say, the monofilament weapons from before). Also, it's recommended not to parry too powerful blows with it (slicing the enemy weapon/limb as it attacks you is always perfectly fine, of course).
As for 'what would be needed' - dunno. It strikes me as a 'ghostship' mission all over again, perhaps with a dash of 'spaaaace rescue' (hehehe, Piecewise mentioned Event Horizon for a reason, I guess). Though, to think of it, I can suggest buying a Mk III - as counter-intuitive as it sounds, it offers flight and extra strength (bonus to which the acrobatic synth-body lacks, if my memory serves me correctly). Don't know how it would interact with your berserker button, though. (Or you could go Simus route and buy a flight pack detached from Mk III - with a minor to moderate discount. Also, check out with Caellath, he has been working on a continious-flight jump pack variant lately.)
