I dunno. I wish I could thing of an IC reason for Gus to immediately shoot Egan's character. I mean, Mission 23 is out of sync with real time, I think, so we might have a bit of time before he gets possessed and goes berserk.

He did make a point of pointing out the 14 different kinds of manipulators used by their ride, and then they got eaten. So, yeah, be interesting to see how this plays out.

You're not truly dead until you're in the wall of remembrance. Until then you're only mostly dead.
But yeah, I don't see any way for things to end well for you.

Will it though? I mean, it got Morul who also had space magic/Origin tech on him and that wasn't enough. So maybe it needs a certain number of them to learn how to use them and the team managed to deprive it of the amount of space magic it needed.

I mean, you can't understand everything about humans just by cutting one of them open, so why should it be the same with space magic?

EDIT: Even if it doesn't allow it to take amps over immediately however, it will probably make things much worse in the future.
