I'm kinda unsure of Xan right now. I'd think he started with a rough, scratchy, feral type of speech and gradually got better at it as he did it more. Right now as Xanessa ... remember those smooth neutral female tones they use in futuristic 'intruder alert' type things? I'd think that what s/he sounds like now. Keep it slightly more uncanny valley.

I don't know. To me the second picture is pretty clear: another [incident]-9, space magic rampant,  colors strobing, lightnings (stray shots? electricity? random lighting going on and off?.. all of that, probably, and more) crackling here and there,  and everything is going, well, to hell. And the skeleton is dancing its ass off to the music of mayhem.  I can almost hear the dying cries of HMR Corpsmen caught in the space-magic crossfire...

The first one isn't even that clear as the second. What's his intentions, ongoing interest, feelings towards the situation? The skeleton is much more ambiguous and unreadable than in the second picture. I can see the situation, but I don't have enough info to grasp the whole message, unlike in the second picture.

Well, those mile-high "stacks" of towers are separate and hostile, so won't be firmly physically connected. So they should plant some sort of nuke below one, and blow it into orbit.

Then they can pretend to be rescue operations and get everyone into the pods, and there'll be a firefight and they can all go home.

That would be far too public operation. Sure, you get lots of people this way and nobody is going to ask questions soon, but after that you better move on to another stack.

New plan: Secretly build the Orion drive beneath the stack, and then unleash the explosions. Bam, stack-rockets!
