Which reminds me, union people, that we can get a 5 token nyartifact which comes in several packages so we could have one each, and I'll give two more tokens to it, but we need one more! Dubley? Xan? Anyone else who thinks they're in or would like to be in the union? It's not compulsory, but if you haven't given a token, we're less likely to share the nyartifact.

M23 seems kinda rudderless, but I haven't been keeping close tabs on it.

I blame myself. I've been 'busy'. I need to catch back up this week and attempt to provide some more direction and input XD

I also blame sleep and crushing existentialism. It seems like the thing to do.

If you don't have time, at least name someone the temp leader while you're gone and let them control you.

Oh, me. Pick me. I totally won't send our support crew on a suicide mission, inevitably resulting in the near total destruction of several stacks, most of our network on this planet, and any chance for mission success. I'll totally do that. I mean ... won't do that. Totally.

Existentialism is a terrible idea. Literally. It inspires terror in the hearts of its victims. It's also terrible in the figurative sense.

And also, hey! don't knock my ad hoc leadership. It's only likely to have gotten one teammate potentially killed and unrecoverable so far.

Existentialism strikes me as an inevitability these days. It's not much more then internal questioning and then the crisis that comes when you realize that no one really has the answers to what you're asking.  I think it's a positive thing as long as you don't give in to despair and instead use it to move ahead and grow more reliant on yourself and your desires, rather then a slave to the desires or ideas of others.

Nihilism is the opposite direction and I don't think it's very helpful.

I'm thinking more the grand philosophical Idea, rather than some simple self reflection, openness to uncertainty, and the typical "do what we gotta do" of adulthood. that's a little more "Postmodern existential exploration" than EXISTENTIALISM.

Being a lave to others' ideas is Bad, but rejecting thousands of years of human development is Also Bad. And if no one ha the answers you or I are looking for, neither do we. Best not to go too far out alone, either. that way lies folly. and making a lot of the same mistakes everyone else in the last hundred thousand years has made.

That is the one case where this cliche sounds kind of badass, if you think about it. Like, people get killed; I get a T-shirt.

Reminds me of my days in hellmoo where I would always play a crafter. At one point, adrift and corpless, I sold some crystalline sandworm teeth and bought a t-shirt printer. I then sat in my apartment room and printed t-shirts that I would throw out the window at random people. It was text based so you could have some real fun with descriptions.  Ah well.
